Jan 28, 2025 · Lesvia OakleyOur kitty Oreo had to be put down so I began calling around for places that perform euthanasia. I chose Long Beach Animal Urgent Care because they took the time to explain the process over the phone and even had a technician call me back about some questions I had that the front desk clerk couldn’t answer. The technician called about 15 min later and answered my questions. When we arrived the next day with Oreo, I was surprised to find the place adorably and tastefully decorated and the staff kind and helpful. From the clerk to the technician to the vet, they were kind and patient and knew how to handle our situation without awkwardness. It was an amazing place to say goodbye to my best furry friend. All of this and their prices were better than the other places I contacted.I highly recommend Long Beach Animal Urgent Care.
Jun 14, 2025 · Ronnie ColemanDr. James is hands-down simply the BEST!I brought my 11-year-old terrier Bisley Anna in an emergency visit, she was having multiple seizures back to back.Dr. James quickly took her back, him and his staff after numerous attempts was able to get her to settle down, stopping her seizures, and allowing her to calm down.Dr. James sat down with me and explained everything in full detail, (about 30 minutes answering ALL my questions) giving me multiple different options and scenarios, it was his wisdom and advice that I took, and that I am grateful to have my little girl around today.5 stars ✨ ALL the way!!!
Oct 26, 2024 · Captain Sebastian ClaeysI brought my dog for a wellness check after she swallowed bits of her toy. The staff was friendly, and the pricing was fair. My dog had her shot; I saw some small bleeding but thought nothing of it and took her home without incident. However, my dog had complications 1 1/2 days later, developing an active inflammation, bruising and infection on her injection site.I relayed my concerns about where they had administered the shot, but unfortunately, they had no answer on the site of administration and advised me to return for another exam with additional fees because they considered it a different issue.I understood their perspective, but my dog had an adverse reaction and I wanted it examined on their behalf. However, they wanted additional money for an exam, so I took her to another vet for an emergency procedure.
Mar 02, 2025 · I YI first want to say thank you to the entire staff here. I came in with my best friend of 15 yrs a yorkie-poo named Taffi. My baby had been acting weird not wanting to eat & threw up a few times for about a day then the next day she stopped drinking water so I rushed her here because this was the only place I wouldn’t need an appointment. The place was clean & cozy. The front desk lady was so sweet & that’s hard to find in medical offices anymore. I went in to see the vet him & his assistant came in to talk to me about what could/should be done we decided to run all the tests we could & get her some antibiotics & electrolytes. Their bedside manner put me at ease. Everything was gonna cost $900. They advised me they work with a payment plan called scratch pay so I applied & was approved so I left so they could do what needed to be done for her. As I’m coming back they call me & tell me she’s took a turn for the worst & allowed me to come in & say my goodbyes. I was beside myself & the entire staff was so empathetic it was as if my dog was the 1st they’ve ever seen pass. There was no we see this everyday attitude & that was so helpful to my heartache. I’m also beside myself thinking not only did my best friend die but I was gonna have to pay $900 but to my surprise the other front desk lady who was so sweet too said they were only charging me the $100 visit fee & if I wanted them to dispose of her or I do it… no way was I gonna be able to do that so I said for them to. They told me it was $100 for basic cremation no urn etc or $300 for an urn & I got to choose from a few different styles & the company would deliver it for me. I decided that’s the least I could do for my best friend & omg I must say the little urn is darling!!! I tell everyone about this place they are amazing 🩷
