While located in Pittsboro, his practice primarily operates through telephone consultations, making his specialized expertise accessible to pet owners not just across North Carolina but potentially far beyond. For North Carolina residents, this means that even if Pittsboro isn't their immediate locality, they can still benefit from Dr. Loops's knowledge without the need for extensive travel with their ailing pets. This accessibility is crucial, especially for pets with severe medical anxiety or those too fragile for travel, as highlighted by clients whose pets thrived with his remote guidance. Dr. Charles E. Loops DVM specializes in homeopathic treatment, with a significant focus on chronic conditions, particularly cancer. His practice, often referred to as the Office of Veterinary Homeopathy, utilizes a non-traditional approach to animal health. The services offered center around a classical homeopathic philosophy, which aims to stimulate the body's natural healing abilities.
- Homeopathic Consultations: Dr. Loops conducts thorough initial consultations, typically via phone, to gather a detailed history of the pet's condition, including their physical symptoms, emotional state, and behavioral patterns. These in-depth "case-takings" are crucial for selecting the most appropriate homeopathic remedies.
- Chronic Disease Management: He specializes in managing long-term health issues that may not respond well to conventional treatments, such as allergies, chronic kidney disease, epilepsy, thyroid problems, and particularly, cancer.
- Cancer Treatment: A significant portion of his practice is dedicated to pets diagnosed with cancer. Dr. Loops develops individualized homeopathic regimens that aim to prolong life and improve the quality of life for cancer patients, often in conjunction with or as an alternative to Western medical modalities like surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation.
- Acute Condition Consultations: While specializing in chronic issues, he also offers consultations for acute, short-lived conditions like infections or injuries, though the focus remains on the homeopathic approach.
- Individualized Treatment Plans: Homeopathy is highly individualized. Dr. Loops creates tailored protocols of homeopathic remedies based on each pet's unique symptoms and constitution.
- Supportive Therapies and Nutritional Guidance: While his primary modality is homeopathy, he may also provide guidance on supportive supplements and dietary choices that complement the homeopathic treatment and enhance the pet's overall well-being.
- Follow-up Consultations: Regular follow-up appointments are scheduled to monitor progress, adjust remedies, and provide ongoing support.

His philosophy centers on using gentle, natural methods with "no penalties – only benefits," a stark contrast to conventional treatments that may have significant side effects.
- Expertise in Cancer Cases: A remarkable 60% of his new cases involve cancer, and his practice has shown impressive results in prolonging life and improving the quality of life for these patients. Testimonials from clients, like the one about Zoey, an almost 12-year-old dog diagnosed with osteosarcoma, highlight how Dr. Loops's protocol led to the tumor shrinking and extended her life by 16 months, ultimately not dying from cancer.
- Focus on Quality of Life: Both testimonials emphasize an extended "wonderful, joyful life" and "quality over quantity," demonstrating Dr. Loops's commitment to ensuring pets not only live longer but also experience a high quality of life during their treatment. This is particularly appealing to owners who prioritize their pet's comfort and happiness.
- Telephone Consultation Model: The ability to conduct consultations by phone makes his specialized services accessible to a much wider audience, alleviating the stress of travel for critically ill or anxious pets and their owners. This allows North Carolina pet parents from across the state to benefit from his expertise.
- Individualized and Cost-Effective Treatment: Dr. Loops tailors treatments to individual needs, and the homeopathic approach is noted as being "very cost effective for guardians" compared to potentially more invasive and expensive conventional cancer therapies.
- Compassionate and Supportive Approach: Clients consistently praise his kindness and the profound difference he has made in their lives, underscoring a high level of empathy and dedication to both the animals and their human families.

Loops Charles E DVM Reviews
Our Great Dane/Doberman Ellie was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) at only 5.5 years old. We opted for amputation but no chemotherapy and combined Dr. Charles Loops's protocol for her with vet recommended supplements with our primary and holistic vet, and with an experimental immunotherapy. We opted out of chemotherapy because our dog had pretty severe medical anxiety and in her short life, had spent a year with injuries and recoveries from two surgeries. We figured quality over quantity. She is 18 months post-diagnosis and still happily hopping and getting into mischief as always! We're so grateful for alternatives that have given her extended time AND a wonderful, joyful life!
Dec 22, 2024 · Kimberly KirnerZoey was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in April 29, 2016. She was almost 12 years old at the time. My vet told us that if we didn't amputate the leg and do chemotherapy, we would be euthanizing her in 30 days. Given that she had the beginnings of hip dysplasia, amputating her front leg would have been a death sentence. I refused to accept a cancer death sentence for my sweet girl. I found Dr. Loops online, did our phone consultation and started her on a homeopathic regimen. Eventually she stopped limping and the tumor completely shrunk. Her hip dysplasia finally got the best of her and we lost her on August 12, 2017. As heartbreaking as it was to lose her, she didn't die of cancer. Dr. Loops gave us 16 months with Zoey that we never thought we'd have. I will never forget his kindness or the difference he made in our lives. ❤️
Jan 08, 2025 · tracy simmonsDr Loops is truly incredible. Do not at all hesitate in contacting him with your pet's illness. If you're reading this review then you have been given bad news and still want to fight for your pet/family member. But conventional medicine has run you into a dead end. I knew there was a better way. You hear stories all the time of humans and pets beating the odds and I want to her to be the exception to the rule.. not a statistic. I'll fight for her as long as she wants to fight.. and she's spirited! When I think of the options that were given to me at the time of her benign tumor diagnosis- Amputation or euthanasia immediately or in a couple of weeks when symptoms worsen. Neither were an option for me. I was ANGRY. Just thinking about how many pet owners would have maybe taken one of either of those options thinking that was all that was available to them? She may have 3 legs now or worse... DEAD! My blood boils thinking about how many animals have suffered that fate.I researched far and wide and came across a YouTube video of Dr Becker and Dr Loops. I was impressed. I live in a different state and he mails it and I have it in a day or two.The genius part about Dr Loops' remedies is not only do they work and work quickly, there are no contraindications with any other medicines that your pet may be taking. I remember procrastinating a few days on calling him and a friend told me that the Royal family takes homeopathy for their health issues. So I took the plunge. I was told my kitty had 8 weeks to live by a surgeon. She is with us 1.5 years later and currently taking remedies formulated by Dr Loops'. She is notoriously fussy and she takes it with ease! She see's the syringe and raises her head to take it! I think the absolute best part of giving her Dr Loops' remedies is I know she is not being harmed by consuming them. No kidney issues, no liver issues..makes me feel better about her consuming it. She transformed right before our very eyes..took an almost immediate effect! Her blood work was done yesterday 5/20/2020 -vet said keep doing what you are doing. Her blood work is perfect. Keep her on Dr Loops remedy for pain (which is remarkable) she walks without a limp now (she has a tumor in her right knee) she's bright eyed and purrs loudly 10 minutes after she consumes it.Dr Loops is affectionately known as "Gandalf the great wizard!" in our home. Don't hesitate..when conventional medicine can't find a way, we found a way with Dr Loops! He is truly a blessing ! All the best!I'd give him 10 STARS if I could..
