Meadowmont Animal Hospital Reviews
I contacted Meadowmont Animal Hospital this morning about my husky (Nikolai) with GI problems (he ingested what was probably a decaying fish while at the beach). Everyone at Meadowmont was so kind and caring. They really seem to love what they do. Dr. Robertson was able to see Nikolai today. Her staff made sure to get his records from our previous vet (we recently moved to Chapel Hill from TX) and communicated with Dr. Robertson in advance about our dog's issue. Dr. Robertson did a very thorough evaluation and was obviously extremely skilled at handling my dog. She was sensitive to cost issues and did not push for expensive testing since she was able to rule a number of things out based on her careful exam. She and her team were just excellent. Before calling Meadowmont this morning I called another veterinary practice where our other dog was seen recently for routine care (our 1st visit there). Despite there being 2 openings today (for an annual exam for an established patient and also for a sick visit for an established patient), they would not see my dog because they said they did not have enough time for a sick visit for a new patient - very frustrating. Meadowmont was much more flexible and I am so glad we went there. We will definitely be returning for regular care for both of our dogs.
May 09, 2025 · Lynne DavisAs a first-time dog owner and college student, I found Meadowmont Animal Hospital after a lot of research for my English Lab puppy, Zane. I wanted a smaller practice where he’d get the most personal attention possible and Meadowmont has exceeded my expectations.A few highlights:- Scheduled special appointments to keep Zane away from other pets during his energetic puppy phase.- Provided regular updates and reminders via voicemail and email.- Offered honest recommendations without pushing unnecessary treatments.- Ensured flexible scheduling and quick responses.- Maintained a kind and supportive practice that cares for both the owner and the pet.Dr. Gordon and Dr. Robertson are both amazing, though we mostly saw Dr. Gordon. The whole patient care team—Madeline, Samantha, and Cassidy—has been fantastic. They've made coordinating Zane’s care easy and helped me manage costs which was a lifesaver for me as a student. We just finished Zane’s first surgery (neutering), and everything went smoothly. Overall, Meadowmont Animal Hospital has made caring for Zane much less stressful. I highly recommend them!
Aug 04, 2024 · Ashley StanulaI first really enjoyed taking my dog, Dude, to Meadowmont. He was well taken care of. Over time, the service dwindled. It was a rare visit that was less than $500. Our concerns about Dude's health were rarely met with solutions or helpful information (he had bladder stones, was in pain due to arthritis, and showing signs of dementia). It was as if we kept hitting a wall. After a particularly difficult scenario where we were being booked with multipled vets in the practice, who were not keeping up with Dude's notes, we opted to move to another vet. At the time, I spoke with the office manager and let her know of our decision to change vets, asked for his records, and respectfully shared why we would no longer be a patient at Meadowmont. Our last appointment there was in 2023.So, why am I writing this in 2025? Well, sadly, Dude has recently passed away. A week to the day of his passing, I get a text from Meadowmont saying he is overdue on his vaccines. There is no reason for me or my dog to be active in their system after 2 years. I do not know the last time I received a text from them so, it felt out of the blue. I called and kindly, but frustrated, asked to be removed from all communication. While the person I spoke with was kind and understanding, she shared she also received a birthday message re: her deceased cat. This empathy is helpful but superficial. When you are part of the office that has the ability to control patient information systems, it is possible to do better. It seems the lack of organization has not changed.
Jun 06, 2025 · Catherine AllenCame to Meadowmont Animal Hospital for feline dental care after a recommendation by Local Mobile Vet, who handles my former feral’s routine care. I was blown away by how fast they were able to get us in, the kindness of the team, the knowledge of the vets, and their efficient care process. I really appreciated their transparency in pricing; they gave me an itemized quote during a preliminary visit and were upfront that it may be more or less depending on what x-rays found. Couldn’t be happier with the results. My cat recovered wonderfully and had minimal stress. If I have more kitty surgical care needs in the future I’ll be coming here!
Jun 15, 2025 · Josie LeighThe compassion and care is above and beyond anywhere I have taken my beloved pets. From the front desk to the vet techs to the vet himself each and every one of them have gone above and beyond to make both my pets and myself comfortable and feel cared for. I drive 40 min each way just have my pets seen by these kind amazing people.
