- Last Friday 4/12/24 I went in for a nail trim for my dog. I called ahead to check if an appointment was needed for this and I was told no. I walk in and was greeted by the receptionist, great customer service. A male vet assistant comes out and takes my dog Simba back (a 12 year old docile senior). I noticed the assistant is back within 2 minutes and my dog returned panting stressed out. In my head I thought that was super quick and I even told the assistant “wow you guys are fast,” since I have been a vet assistant before, but I didn’t think much of it since Simba is the easiest dog. I pay $10 and head out. I started driving to my home when I checked Simba’s paws during a stop light and noticed they were the same. I immediately pulled over to check his 4 paws when I saw all his nails were intact. I drove back to the hospital and let the receptionist know. She was surprised, confused just like I. I then requested for them to trim his nails in front of me since I had now lost trust. Needless to say, I am already hesitant when they take my pets to a back room where I can’t see what’s going on, so now I wonder what they did to him in the back the first time around. Please check your animals, even if it’s just for a nail trim. The receptionist returned me the money and she was great, but I think this was a simple mistake that has cost them my future business.
