★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- So happy I found this vet a while back. I had to bring in my dog for an emergency tooth 🦷 extraction and he needed his shots as well. They got me in immediately & the price was very reasonable. I’ve brought my dog back for his shots & to get his nails trimmed and every time I have been in the office, the staff are very friendly and attentive. July 31 · Lenzy G
- I have been going to this vet for 3 years cause my Dog is 3 years old. I called Saturday because something bite my Rottweiler on the nose . I was greated with a voicemail to leave a message. I left a message with my name dogs name phone number and why i was calling and i wanted a collar to put on his head so he couldnt keep pawing it and making it bleed. They NEVER called me back but the last time i was in there the vet was so rude he also gave my dog another parvo shot of which he gave him one when he was 1 years old of which was in my dogs records. The 2nd time i was in there the vet exsplained everything in great detail the 3 time was when the vet have him the 2nd parvo shot . As if i could have affored to make a file at another vets office i wouldnt have even called Oakwood vet back but i thought i could get help for my fur baby . These folks dont care about nothing but money! May the Lord Bless each and every one thats involved. Its not anout the humans its about humane to animals. The only reason i went here with Chop is because Oakwood vet put of Boomer down when she had cancer. My Rottweiler has spots on him that resembles boomers cancer marks oakwood vet doesn't know what they are he said it's a sticker but all it does is keep growing. Wishing you all the best of luck with your fur babies. August 05 · Karie Black

- THIS VET ALMOST KILLED MY DOG. He made my dog so sick. I took her in for coughing they gave her a diaretic in such a high dose that i had to take her to the emergency vet hospital a week later for signs of serious issues. The emergency vet hospital was concerned and confused as to why she was even on such a high dose of medication and said she should have NEVER been put on such a high dose to start.I had to take her to a separate vet because i was NOT taking her back and the new vets were confused and extremely concerned about the high dose of lasix. They were giving my 25lb dog more lasix than a 300lb diabetic old man would take. They said they had no idea why this vet even treated my dogs issues with this medication because she needed different medication and the medication she was on wasnt even treating the issue. So that vet basically poisoned my dog. Now shes extremely sick and we are having to wein her off the medication slowly because it was such a high dose it could cause issues with her body and kill her if we take her off too fast. This isnt even the only issue I've had with this vet and I've literally only been there three times. (I started coming here because my good vet i had been going to for years retired) Every time I come in theres some ratchet problem. The vet is getting to be TOO old to work he needs to retire. hes making mistakes with medication that almost killed my dog and even during the vist he was showing signs of confusion. In the middle of the visit he just walked out of the room MID CONVERSATION and never came back. I was waiting for him assuming he'd be back and the receptionist and other vet tech just laughed at me for waiting and just said oh he walks off all the time youre good to go. The visit was not complete. On top of all this the place us run down and smells bad. Noone there is a professional cleaner and they clearly are not spending any money on a professional cleaner. Its dirty. The front desk is also dirty. Its covered in a mess of junk, food, papers, and the dogs medication. The pick up is extremely unorganized and I almost got another dogs perception once because the front desk wasnt paying attention and couldnt be bothered to double check. She's extremely lazy every time you come in she acts annoyed about having to do something every time I've had to call shes eating over the phone and you can hear her smacking shes always wearing sweats and food stained t-shirts and acts like she hates her job. When I was changing vets she required me to contact my dogs past vets and send her the paper work through email which I thought was strange because every single other vet I've ever gone to does that themselves so that they can comunicate with the old vet for a clearer idea of how the dog is. But then when I asked for an email copy of their records they said they were completely incapable of emailing records because "their computer doesn't send emails".... but then my new vet (who is mortified at the prescription this vet prescribed) contacted th3m and was able to get the records and discuss my dog because this new vet actually cares about the animals that come though. We are now desperately trying to undo the dammage this vet caused and my dog is doing worse than she has ever been. But this vet is treating the cough and treating the dammage from the actual poison prescribed to her and we are praying that she lives. This vet should be looked at. If this mistake was such a simple one and caused so much devastation then who knows what he could do to your pet. This vet is sloppy the employees are sloppy and whrn it comes to health care sloppy can KILL. I almost lost my dog because of this sloppy. I hope you dont loose your pet and go find a professional vet that is capable of caring for them June 04 · Angel Rain Lavender
