Old Dominion Veterinary Services Reviews
It has been a while since we had this vet out and I called today for an emergency as my alpaca is not doing well and she is dying. She refused to come out saying I had bad debt and to find another vet. I told them their records were incorrect and her office person billed me twice for the same service last time they were out and the office corrected it. Apparently they corrected it by writing it off and calling it bad debt. There is a shortage of livestock vets in the area and I can't find another one so it's sad that they don't care about my dying animal over because of their billing error.
May 13, 2025 · Trish JonesThey used to be decent. The vet that was into sheep left leaving one vet. She is a young vet and is over extended. We lost a lamb after a castration surgery from what I am guessing is over anesthesia. It didn't come out of it and fell over and died in front of me.They use FAMACHA score and body condition for sole source of parasite detection. That just says if they are ill, it doesn't say that they are well. We lost half our flock from that methodology. I got in with a sheep group led by a person that consults to Virginia Tech that has told me how to fix my issues, but vet is not willing to perform flock wide control so they just keep reoccurring. They are two or three months out for an appointment, and then cancel it on you while trying to process their requests they give you one half of a business day in advance.Probably best to find someone else if you have sheep or goats
Oct 05, 2024 · Nate PierenI had a very sick goat. Dr.harris came and worked very hard to save him unfortunately he was to far gone to save. She was very professional and caring. I am so glad i could get her to come out and try. I will be calling on her again.hopefully just for checkups but i am so glad to know she is there in an emergency if needed.
Aug 13, 2024 · Michelle CallDr. Faull has been wonderful in caring for my Angora goats and livestock guardian dogs. Responsive, timely, professional. But her assistance recently with one of my companion dogs was truly remarkable. I had to make the decision that no pet owner ever wants to make. Dr. Faull had never treated my dog because he’s always gone to the office of a small animal vet. I wanted him to spend his last few minutes at home and asked Dr. Faull if she could help. Her caring, compassion, and understanding during the visit was such a comfort. It’s wonderful having a vet that truly loves animals and appreciates what they mean to us.
Jan 17, 2022 · Margaret HardyDr Faull came 31 miles to care for our goat. She was compassionate, but down-to-earth. Although our goat had gone totally blind and was having seizures, Dr. Faull examined her thoroughly and gave me all that was necessary to care for her. Within three days, Jill was back to normal- full health regained. The bill was very reasonable, especially for the time, distance, instruction, and supplies Dr. Faull was willing to give!
