Nov 08, 2024 · BarbieNEVER AGAIN!: Our two dogs have been going here since 2015, on 12/27 our son had to take our one dog there at about 3pm because she was lethargic and we were about 3 hours away. The vet called and stated she was not doing well and had fluid buildup, he had her on Oxygen and a diuretic. My CLEAR AND CONCISE question to him was "is this imminent like today or tomorrow we will be there in a few hours" he stated NO enjoy your trip but the time is approaching to decide how we will handle this further in the near future. She would be checked on at 11pm then he would call us at 8am. 8:30am came and no call, our son was leaving out of state and had to drive by the hospital so he did. He was then informed at 8:55 when he arrived that she had died. She was a bit older we are guessing 13yo so we knew it would be maybe a year or two prior to him taking her but clearly NOT a few hours. If I could give ZERO stars I would. It is now 6 days later, my wife just picked up her remains after cremation. We NEVER got a call that she had passed, never got a call saying what happened, or just a call to say we are sorry for her passing. I am FURIOUS not only over the way this was handled but because she died alone in some dark cage with no one by her side in her final hours. We don't know when she died but all we know is we could have had a chance to at least say our last good bye's while she was alive, not 3 hours to her cold dead body on some exam table after we had to figure out for ourselves. We could have even brought her home to die peacefully or put her down humanely while being held by us. Makes me wonder what actually happened because of how this was handled. She was having issues but we have security video of her on the front porch playing with her sister who misses her dearly less than 2 days prior to her passing. Pets pass we know that but overall how it was handled just put's doubt in our minds now. NEVER AGAIN Photos attached are of her on Christmas 2 days before going in and today the Urn 6 days later.

Mar 11, 2025 · Anthony CoxPalmetto Vet was recommended to me a few years ago when I moved from Columbia, SC. Due to my dogs ongoing skin issues and finally getting them under control prior to leaving Columbia, it was important for me to find a vet I trusted. Palmetto Vet is exactly that. They treat your dog, as well as you like family. They are very fair priced in their services and are very professional. An employee also recommended a wonderful place to kennel my dog when I was away for awhile which assures me they are not out to take your money (they border and kennel dogs too). They fixed my dog a year ago and just recently did her annual check up plus vaccinations. If you’re considering trusting them with your pets and have doubts, you will not be let down I promise!
