Catawba Animal Clinic Introduce
Welcome, South Carolina pet parents! When it comes to the health and happiness of our beloved animal companions, choosing a veterinary practice that offers both exceptional medical care and a truly compassionate approach is paramount. For residents in Rock Hill, SC, and the surrounding communities, Catawba Animal Clinic (CAC) has been a long-standing institution, providing dedicated care since 1978. This comprehensive article aims to provide you with a detailed overview of their services, their commitment to patient comfort, and what makes them a significant resource for local pet owners.
Veterinary care is a multifaceted field, encompassing everything from routine preventative measures that keep our pets healthy year-round to advanced diagnostics and surgical interventions when illness or injury strikes. The bond we share with our pets is unique, and ensuring they receive the best possible medical attention throughout their lives is a responsibility we take seriously. A local veterinary clinic that deeply understands the specific needs of pets in our South Carolina environment and builds strong, trusting relationships with both animals and their owners is an invaluable partner.
Catawba Animal Clinic has garnered a loyal following, with many clients making a special effort to visit them. As one satisfied pet owner shared, "Our old man Butter has been a patient here for the past few years. We have several veterinarian options closer to home, but we make the drive because of the amazing team at CAC." This dedication from clients speaks volumes about the quality of care. Specific shout-outs highlight the team's commitment: "The front office staff (special shout out to Jenni!) is super efficient and responsive, always. They know Butter is high-anxiety and always greet him with a chewie to help pacify him." Dr. Morrison also receives high praise: "Dr. Morrison is our favorite! She is attentive and knowledgeable; always thorough in her explanations of different levels of care and treatment options. We are so grateful to the team at CAC for their unmatched level of care and expertise." These testimonials paint a picture of a compassionate, knowledgeable, and efficient team dedicated to making pets and their owners feel at ease.
However, it is important to acknowledge that some clients have expressed concerns regarding pricing transparency. One review noted, "On our last scheduled grooming, after arriving they told us it would be an extra $200 if we wanted her groomed. Stated that she needed her annual. No notice for the weeks we've had the appointment set... Not impressed with the professionalism nor the last minute surcharge. Already pay $125 for conditioner bath and grooming. May have been do-able if the proper notice was given, but sadly this isn't the first time we have dealt with them and last minute price hikes. Last year they'd told us after the appointment that we owed extra. Now, reading through all of the reviews I am seeing a pattern when it comes to them and money. Not too impressed and will more than likely be looking for a new, trustworthy vet with upfront pricing. Very disappointed in this place." This feedback suggests that while the quality of care and staff compassion are often praised, clients are advised to confirm all costs and necessary services upfront to ensure full transparency and avoid unexpected charges.

May 07, 2025 · N ArosteguiAfter being a client for a little over a year for our dog Millie and referring a few close friends, we liked this place good enough. On our last scheduled grooming, after arriving they told us it would be an extra $200 if we wanted her groomed. Stated that she needed her annual. No notice for the weeks we've had the appointment set. No notice on any of the calls checking if we were still coming. Nothing till we were there for the grooming appointment. Not impressed with the professionalism nor the last minute surcharge. Already pay $125 for conditioner bath and grooming. May have been do-able if the proper notice was given, but sadly this isn't the first time we have dealt with them and last minute price hikes. May 01, 2025 · Jays Home ServiceI always have a lot a questions, they come from a place of curiosity not doubt.Dr. Morrison and White have always treated them as exactly that and help me understand how to best care for my family. Their team has been consistent through some of the worst days of our lives and some of the mundane. If you’re looking for someone who will treat you with respect and grace, Catawba is that place.
May 30, 2025 · Jo HayesBrought my dog in for allergy visit. The staff are friendly, however the doc did not inform me of the type of medication they were sending me home to use. The medication was an immunosuppressant and i did not realize this until i came home and did some research before giving it to my dog. The doctor did not inform me of this and the only paperwork i received with the meds did not mention this important fact. If I had known this i would not have purchased this very expensive medication. (28 pills for $107 dollars. what?? When i called to talk about this with them they did not own the fact that owners have a right to know if their pet is being put on immunosuppressants. It's a big decision for owners and we should be told by the doctor or in the paperwork. Period. As far as I am concerned this is dangerous practice and it tells me they only care about money. They did nothing. I understand they cannot take medication back after it leaves, but i got no apology regarding not being informed about what i was being given. Very unprofessional and i have never seen any veterinarian send a customer home with an expensive medication AND not informing them of what they are getting. I won't be returning to a business I cannot trust. Shame on you guys.
Jul 02, 2025 · gina ayersThe people who work here are awesome. Our dog Biscuit is treated like a little king as soon as he walks in the door. The ladies at the front desk pass him around to get kisses from Biscuit. The vets here really take the time with you to make sure you understand all that has been done to your pet, and your pet is healthy and happy when you leave. Thank you to the whole team for being so caring, and always making Biscuit feel like the most important boy in the world.Susan Morgan
