PetVet365 Pet Hospital Pittsburgh/Cranberry Reviews
Awesome experience!!! I just moved to PA from across the country and needed a new vet - which I probably don’t have to say is an anxiety provoking experience!!! Based only on other reviews and a “gut feeling”, I went with PetVet 364 Cranberry and am so happy I did. Everyone I interacted with there was amazing - from the person who answered the phone and made my appointment (Natalie I think), the Vet’s assistant/tech (Ashley), to the vet herself - all of them were patient, caring, friendly, understanding, and genuinely listened intently to me as we discussed my cats needs. Also, they have this amazing special “cat room” that was probably even more cat friendly than my home LOL. So rather than going into a sterile exam room with a metal table, I was able to bring my cat into a warm comfortable room equipped with cat toys, cat condos, litter box and treats! That instantly put my cat (AND me) at ease which is critical - esp if you have anxious pets! All in all, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for me and my pets and we plan to stick with this wonderful vet clinic in the future. If I could give 6 star rating, I would 😻

The doctor explained everything to me and they gave me an estimate before services were done, which I appreciated so much. He loved the technician in the room place. They facility is so clean and the cat room was amazing, my cat was so relaxed. He is feeling much better now and I am very grateful for them. I will continue to use them as my regular veterinary hospital.
Apr 11, 2025 · Donna BoyerWhile I can say the staff at PetVet365 in Cranberry were kind, professional, and clearly cared about my dog, I left this experience feeling misled, financially drained, and with no new answers. My golden retriever, Geralt, has a history of heartworm(treatment was done in another state and he's heartworm free) and right-sided heart failure. He’s been on 50mg of Lasix twice a day since around September, and I’ve been planning to get him in with a cardiologist to streamline his treatment—just had to move to Pennsylvania first and get settled.Recently, Geralt got very sick—vomiting, diarrhea with blood—so I brought him here. I mentioned his Lasix dosage to the vet tech (a friend had raised concerns based on her human experience), and when the vet, Silvana Giardini, came in, she hyperfocused on the Lasix. Despite my dog's immediate symptoms, her concern shifted entirely to possible kidney damage from long-term diuretic use. She convinced me that bloodwork, a urine test, and x-rays were needed. I agreed out of concern, only to find that the x-rays were nearly $700 and ultimately unhelpful due to fluid in the stomach. She said she did three “extra” x-rays for free to look at his heart, but none of this gave me any answers I didn’t already know—I had nearly identical x-rays done months prior. In the end, she couldn’t tell me why Geralt was throwing up or having blood in his stool. She prescribed medications to treat the symptoms without a confirmed diagnosis. Thankfully, those meds worked—but the lab results all came back fine, showing his kidneys were healthy. Which is great—but I wasn’t worried about his kidneys until she made me worried.Looking back, it feels like I was pressured into expensive tests that weren’t necessary. A simple stool sample might have gone a long way. I brought this concern up later, and the vet did call to speak with me, which I appreciate. But the more I thought about it, the more upset I became. I paid a lot for a misdiagnosis and temporary meds, and was left with the same advice I already had: “You need to see a cardiologist.” I knew that. I just moved states. I was looking for help in the meantime. While I won’t be going back, I don’t want to tell others not to go—just to be prepared, ask questions, and maybe push for basic diagnostics before jumping into expensive procedures. Again, the team was friendly, the place was clean and calming, and the concern for my dog felt genuine. But in my case, I walked away with more stress and less money, for information I already knew.
May 19, 2025 · Ricky McDowellThis place is great! Literally can’t stop talking about how great this place is to all my friends who have pets (and even those who don’t). It is a little more in price than my previous vet, but the value is beyond compare. Every time I’ve been here, I’ve been listened to carefully and with empathy, there’s no waiting in the lobby, you get your own little room, with a couch and Cheerios. I’ve never been rushed. My concerns are always addressed and my dog absolutely loves it here. Most importantly, I switched vets after 6 months and a lot of money spent on my dog because of a horrible, ongoing cough no other vet could figure out. After being recommended here by a friend of a friend, a game plan was made along with a referral and about three weeks later she was cough free and has been for a couple months, and her health is more stable than I’ve ever seen. They know her name, she gets Cheerios, she is one happy camper, which is the complete opposite of any other vet experience we’ve had. I literally have to drive 65 minutes each way to come here, and it’s worth every minute. They are Fear Free Certified, which prior to this I didn’t know was a thing, and they take it seriously. The doctors are both very kind, empathetic, knowledgeable, and love animals. The vet techs are also great. They sit on the floor with your pet, make sure they are comfortable, and are very sweet. Also, if you are able to get the VIP package, it is worth every penny. You have the ability to text after hours, same day visits, lab work, X-rays, so much more. Ok, I’ll stop, but you get it, this place is great!
Jul 15, 2024 · Maggie MEdit: April 2025We’ve returned a handful of times since our first visit, and we’ve always had a good experience. Maizie had a dental cleaning and mass removal surgery in March, and I was so pleased with the care she received before, during, and after surgery. I appreciate how communicative the staff was with updates about surgery and recovery. And I appreciate the willingness to accommodate Maizie’s anxiety. Everyone in the office is always so pleasant to deal with. Highly recommend.Original review January 2024Dr. Silvana and Stephanie took great care of my dog Maizie. Exam rooms are super nice and comfy..they examined Maizie on the floor and had a lickimat and pup cup for her after her blood work. We loved the Fear Free set up, and we appreciate the time Dr. Silvana spent with us going over Maizie's history and past test results. Caring and compassionate doctor and staff.
