---Dr. Woods' practice offers a wide array of services that reflect his integrative approach to veterinary medicine.
- Conventional Veterinary Services: This includes essential preventive care, such as wellness exams for pets of all ages, from playful puppies to senior companions. They also handle everyday health issues, from chronic skin and ear infections to gastrointestinal concerns.
- Holistic and Alternative Therapies: A key differentiator is the focus on holistic modalities. Services include acupuncture, a therapy that has shown excellent results for chronic pain and various illnesses, as well as homotoxicology therapy, which aims to remove toxins from the body.
- Pain Management and Geriatric Care: The clinic offers specialized services to improve the quality of life for senior pets and those with chronic pain. This includes pain management, therapeutic laser treatments, and personalized nutrition plans.
- Diagnostics: To ensure accurate diagnosis, the practice performs a variety of diagnostic tests, including comprehensive blood panels, urinalysis, heartworm and tick-borne disease tests, and more.
- End-of-Life Care: They provide compassionate end-of-life care, including euthanasia, with a focus on creating a peaceful and comfortable environment for both the pet and their family.
- Additional Services: The practice also offers house calls, and various vaccines, including a mercury-free rabies vaccine.
The practice of Robert Woods DVM stands out for several unique features and a philosophy that truly resonates with its clientele.
- Integrative Medicine Approach: The most significant highlight is Dr. Woods' expertise in blending traditional Western medicine with alternative therapies. This provides pet owners with more options and a more holistic path to wellness, especially for conditions where traditional treatments have had limited success.
- Compassionate and Knowledgeable Staff: Client reviews consistently praise Dr. Woods and his staff for being friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and caring. This is a quality that one client described as "somewhat rare these days," making it a highly valued attribute of the practice.
- Effectiveness of Alternative Therapies: The results speak for themselves. One client with a 16-year-old chihuahua in stage 3 kidney disease noted a "HUGE difference" in their pet's stability and energy after starting acupuncture and homotoxicology therapy, something that traditional care had failed to achieve.
- Dedication to Patients: Clients are willing to drive a long distance—up to 45 minutes—to have their pets cared for by Dr. Woods, a testament to the trust and value they place in his expertise and compassionate approach.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dr Woods, Julie and the office staff are always friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We are happy to drive 45 minutes to have our two Border Collies cared for by Dr Woods and his staff. We have had lots of fur babies and have gone through several vets that were very disappointing in terms of not being open to considering both traditional and alternative therapies in order to find what works for a particular dog at different stages of life. We are very glad to have found Dr Woods and highly recommend him. He is a great vet that actually cares about his patients. That quality, I am sorry to say, is unfortunately somewhat rare these days.
August 03 · Ellen RoseI have 3 chihuahuas that have all suffered from acute illness and/or injury within the last few months. Dr Woods holistic care has made a HUGE difference in their stability and recovery. Most significant is my 16 year old male chihuahua in stage 3 kidney disease now has his energy and appetite back. Traditional care, fluids every day along with appetite stimulants, had little if any effect on his stability. Accupuncture and the homotoxicology therapy have had excellent results.I could not be more pleased.
October 01 · Lisa ChampionWe have been going to Dr. Robert Woods for over 15 years. He has seen us through many crises and issues. He actually listens to you. He treats each patient with the utmost caring and compassion. We will never forget how kind he was when my mom had to put her older dog down and how much time he spent with her. Dr. Woods and his staff have gone above and beyond many countless times with their patience and caring. We are very happy to have a vet with the knowledge and ability to mix eastern and western medicines to help our beloved dogs with whatever they need. He is one of a kind.
February 19 · Jolene HicksDr. Woods and his staff are incredible. We've been through a lot with two of our dogs recently and they've all been absolutely wonderful - caring, compassionate, and willing to go the extra mile to try and save their lives. I would never trust my pets with a traditional veterinarian ever again.
June 01 · Gina Bonanno-LemosWhat a wonderful office! Last August I sought out alternative treatment for my senior dog who started having seizures. Two other vets ignored my main concern and suggestion of why his seizures were occurring (he had an eye that was puffed out). My first consultation with Dr. Woods was thorough and he listened carefully to all of my concerns and sure enough, my gut was right about his eye. Dr. Woods put together a comprehensive treatment plan for my dog and we have seen so much improvement with his seizures and a few other ailments. He also had a small surgery to remove a lump and it was carefully explained to me (I was super nervous for my dog!!!) and I was put at ease when my dog came bouncing out right after! The staff is great as well - they are always super friendly when I call to make appointments or with questions and to make Rx refills. They even call and follow-up when they say they will! I recommend Dr. Woods to anyone and everyone with a furry friend! On a side note, the office is super cute the way it's decorated, they have a huge selection of candy and coffee, and free toys to take home for your pet. I also love to follow their Instagram and daily puppy posts!
