Jun 26, 2025 · Melissa HutchinsI took my cat, Moo, here on March 13th 2025 for a simple skin irritation problem. Little did I know that would end up costing me $3,800 a few days later. Being a cat they said there's not too many things they can do about the irritation but recommended a steroid shot. I agreed to this treatment but reminded the doctor that he had a heart murmur. He said he saw that in Moo's file. I had been told previously by this vet his level 3 heart murmur wasn't much of a problem. Two days later I come home to Moo hiding under the bed, refusing to come out. A few minutes later he came out and looked right at me. I noticed his breathing was heavily labored and he was also breathing through his mouth. Very bad sign for a cat. I rushed him to an urgent care clinic. They immediately asked for permission to resuscitate if needed. After doing some x-rays, they noticed his lungs had a lot of fluid build up. Ive attached pictures of those x-rays and you can see how cloudy his lungs are which is all the fluid. Unfortunately, they were not able to drain the fluid from him. After getting him stable enough to be transported, I took him to the ER that night. They gave him some medicine and were able to drain 100 mL of fluid! That is A LOT for a little cat. Turns out, it was conjestive heart failure, his heart is damaged. The next day when he was ready to come home, the vet there then recommended him seeing a cardiologist to have an echo and ultra sound done. I did that the following morning. This will be a problem he has the the estimated 1 year of his remaining life. All we can do is manage it with daily medication. The cardiologist told me the results and things to look for and avoid, such a steroid shots. After telling him that two days before the incident the cardiologist said the shot is very well what escalated this situation. Makes sense it took a couple days for all of that fluid to build up and almost kill my cat. Had I not come home I would have walked into my best friend passed away. Had I known the side effects of the shot I never would have approved it. Why would you give him a steroid shot when you know he has a heart problem? Why not tell me the risks? Did you not check his heart while he was there for his yearly check up too? Those check up are where you first discovered his heart problem. You knew he had a heart problem and had no consideration regarding that when giving him the shot. I called the following weekend to discuss this but didn't hear back.
Mar 31, 2025 · Bayleigh JonesLove this place. They have 2 cute cats that walk around, greeting people. The prices are decent. In the environment fills relaxing. Despite it being some distance from me, this still might be my new favorite Veterinarian. I will be back.
Apr 26, 2025 · Amanda De VriesVery efficient clinic. My cat Baby's doctor was very proactive in getting her the things she needed without doing unnecessary, costly things. She diagnosed and treated Baby and assured me she would get better. Baby was on the brink of death and recovered! The doctor truly cares about her patients. I wish I had found this clinic sooner! God is good. Please give them my name Eva B. and Baby for a $25 off your clinic visit. Sign up for a referral as coupon as well. Very good, reasonable prices.
