★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- I began taking my pug, Zoey, to Caleb at Stone Veterinary Clinic in 2019–2020 when she was about 6 years old. She will be 12 soon. From the very beginning, Caleb diagnosed her with congestive heart failure (CHF) and prescribed Lasix and Enalapril. For the next 5–6 years, Zoey was treated by Caleb. After moving out of state recently, I took Zoey to a new veterinarian to continue her care. I specifically asked for her heart to be checked with x-rays and for her CHF medication to be renewed. After a thorough exam, the new vet told me Zoey did not have congestive heart failure, and she didn’t even have a heart murmur. I was instructed to take her off the medication immediately and return in three weeks for bloodwork to check for damage caused by years of unnecessary treatment.Thankfully, the results showed Zoey is still very healthy for her age, and no permanent damage was done. But she was on unnecessary medication for nearly six years, costing me hundreds of dollars (Approx. $766.08) and, more importantly, putting her health at risk. There were also multiple times Caleb insisted x-rays were needed to monitor her supposed heart failure (for example, two views in January 2022 and 4 views in June 2023). Looking back, I now realize none of this was needed. My dog is my family, and I feel deeply betrayed by this level of misdiagnosis and care. While Zoey was lucky, another pet may not be. The new vet was surprised she didn’t suffer serious health issues from being on CHF medication for so long.I know there aren’t many veterinary options in Union County, but I strongly urge other pet owners to think twice before trusting their animals to this clinic. In my experience, the way this practice is run is careless and dangerous for house pets. Your animals deserve better, safer, and more accurate care.To be clear, I cannot speak to his treatment of farm animals — only my personal experience with my pets. August 18 · Kaitlyn Brewer

- Dr Jenkins and his staff are truly the most caring people I have ever seen and we have been to many vets. Our baby has had alot of issues over the past 4 years. We called on a Fri night after hours he called us right back and we werent even a patient, told us to bring him in Sat morning. He treated him then but by Sun he would not eat so we called back and took him in Monday morning. He has never been away from us and he is 12 but something in my heart told me that they would take care of him. They kept him til Wed , he is still not out of the woods completely but I feel like with what Dr Jenkins and staff did that his chances are better than ever. This also was after I called our regular vet and all they wanted to do was drop him off and I knew if I did that it could mean last time we saw him so I went to another vet which did see him but sent him home so this was our 3rd attempt at this point. Again I cannot give them enough praise but this is the people you want handling your baby. We found a true place to call home for as long as our baby is here with us but I will never stop giving them the praise they deserve!!!! December 09 · lisa pippin
- They have been our vet for years. Love the service and care, and the prices are reasonable. We moved out of state and I still use them for most things. My sweet dog died from cancer, and I spent thousands trying to figure out the problem.. brought her back home and they figured it out for less than a couple hundred. They even called me to check on her a week or two later, and asked my mom about her last time she went in. Genuinely great care. July 17 · Audie Cherry
