While specific detailed service lists are not always publicly exhaustive for every local clinic, a highly recommended practice like Susan Wicker Four Springs Vet typically provides a comprehensive range of veterinary services to ensure the health and longevity of your pets. Based on common veterinary practices and client testimonials, these services likely include:
- Wellness and Preventive Care: This is the foundation of good pet health. It would encompass routine physical examinations, tailored vaccination programs to protect against common diseases in Pennsylvania, and effective parasite prevention and control strategies (e.g., for fleas, ticks, and heartworms). Regular check-ups are crucial for early detection of potential health issues.
- Diagnostic Services: To accurately assess and diagnose conditions, the clinic would likely offer various diagnostic tools. This commonly includes in-house laboratory services for blood tests (like complete blood counts and chemistry panels), urinalysis, and fecal exams. These rapid results are vital for timely intervention and treatment.
- General Surgery: A well-established veterinary clinic performs common surgical procedures. This typically includes routine operations such as spaying and neutering, as well as soft tissue surgeries for mass removals, wound repairs, or other general surgical needs. Patient safety and post-operative care are paramount during these procedures.
- Dental Care: Oral hygiene is integral to a pet's overall health. Services would usually involve professional dental cleanings (scaling and polishing under anesthesia), extractions of diseased teeth, and advice on at-home dental care to prevent periodontal disease, which is a common issue for many pets.
- Management of Illnesses and Injuries: The clinic would be equipped to diagnose and treat a wide array of medical conditions and injuries. This includes addressing infections, gastrointestinal issues, dermatological problems, and minor trauma.
- Nutritional Counseling: Expert advice on proper nutrition tailored to your pet’s age, breed, and health status is typically provided. This ensures pets receive the necessary nutrients for optimal health and can address specific dietary needs or allergies.
- Microchipping: For enhanced safety and peace of mind, microchipping services are generally available. This permanent identification significantly increases the chances of reuniting with a lost pet, a crucial service for any pet owner in Pennsylvania.
- Pain Management: Managing pain, whether acute from an injury or surgery, or chronic due to conditions like arthritis, is a key focus. The clinic would offer various strategies, including medication, to ensure pets remain comfortable and maintain a good quality of life.

Dec 13, 2020 · Karen DruckenmillerCheap for routine care but I wouldn’t let them touch my dog again. (Granted I stopped taking him there in 2021, but my old review appears to have been deleted) I find it odd that there’s only 5 star reviews left for this vet and I don’t see any of the other reviews here anymore that aren’t as positive, one being my own from years ago. My dog has not been the same since being neutered here and I sure hope Mr.Wicker (I think that’s who it was) no longer works here. He treated my dog horribly and carelessly. A tech or two were kind but to add to it, the lady at the front desk was miserable as well.
