Vetco Vaccination Clinic Introduce
For pet owners in Fishers, Indiana, and surrounding communities, keeping beloved companions healthy and protected from preventable diseases is a top priority. Vetco Vaccination Clinic provides a focused and accessible solution for essential preventive veterinary care, primarily specializing in vaccinations. In today's busy world, finding convenient and affordable options for your pet's health needs can be a challenge, and Vetco aims to meet that demand by offering specific services in an accessible format.
Vetco Vaccination Clinic operates with the goal of making core preventive health services, such as vaccinations, microchipping, and parasite prevention, widely available and affordable. They understand that not every pet needs a full-service veterinary hospital visit for routine immunizations or testing. By focusing on these specific, high-demand services, Vetco seeks to streamline the process, potentially saving pet owners time and money on essential care. While they are not a substitute for a full-service veterinarian for comprehensive medical needs, they play a crucial role in ensuring that Fishers pets can stay up-to-date on vital protective measures.
The Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Fishers is located at 8644 E 96th St, Fishers, IN 46037, USA. It's important to note that Vetco Clinics often operate within larger retail stores, such as Petco, meaning their specific location is usually a designated area within the store. This placement significantly enhances accessibility for Indiana pet owners, as it allows for routine pet care to be combined with other errands.
This Fishers location on East 96th Street makes it a convenient stop for residents throughout Fishers, as well as those in nearby communities like Noblesville, Carmel, Lawrence, and parts of Indianapolis. The clinic typically offers specific hours on certain days of the week, allowing pet owners to plan their visits. The "clinic-in-store" model provides a familiar and often less intimidating environment for pets compared to a traditional veterinary office, potentially reducing stress for animals who may be anxious about vet visits. The walk-in or appointment model, depending on the specific clinic and time, also aims to offer flexibility for busy schedules.
Vetco Vaccination Clinic primarily focuses on essential preventive care services for dogs and cats. Their streamlined model is designed to make these specific services convenient and affordable.

It's important to note that Vetco Vaccination Clinics generally do not offer services such as surgical procedures (beyond perhaps basic microchip implantation), dental cleanings, extensive diagnostic workups for illness, or emergency care. They are designed as a convenient stop for routine preventive measures.
Vetco Vaccination Clinic emphasizes convenience and affordability for core pet health needs.
- Affordable Pricing: One of the main draws of Vetco Clinics is their lower pricing for vaccinations and basic preventive tests compared to full-service veterinary offices, as they do not charge an exam fee for these specific services.
- No Appointment Necessary (Often): While some locations may offer appointments, many Vetco Clinics operate on a walk-in basis during their scheduled clinic hours, providing flexibility for pet owners' busy schedules.
- Focus on Preventative Care: Their specialization allows them to efficiently deliver essential vaccinations and parasite preventatives, which are critical for maintaining a pet's long-term health and preventing widespread diseases.
- Accessible Location: Operating within retail stores like Petco places them in easily accessible community hubs, making it simple for pet owners to combine a vet visit with other errands.
- Electronic Records: Customers typically receive an email receipt with their pet's medical records in PDF format after the clinic, allowing for easy access to vaccination history.
- Trained Staff: Clinics are staffed with licensed veterinarians and professional support staff.
However, it is crucial for potential users in Indiana to be aware of some frequently noted concerns, as evidenced by customer reviews:
- Communication Issues & Accuracy: There have been reports of pets not receiving all requested vaccines, incorrect vaccines being administered (e.g., 1-year vs. 3-year rabies, or unnecessary additional vaccines), and errors in prescriptions (e.g., receiving Heartguard despite known adverse reactions).
- Customer Service Challenges: Clients have reported difficulties getting issues resolved, with long call times to customer service and being told they need to revisit a clinic during operating hours to address errors, even if the error wasn't theirs.
- Lack of Comprehensive Care: As highlighted by their specialized model, they do not offer full diagnostic services for illnesses or advanced treatments, which means pets with more complex needs will require a referral to a full-service clinic.
- Potential for Over-Quoting/Unnecessary Services: Some customers felt pressured or were charged for services they explicitly declined or didn't need, leading to questions about transparency in billing and service delivery.
- Staffing & Consistency: There are mentions of inconsistent staff experiences, including rudeness or perceived unprofessionalism, and issues with cleanliness (e.g., needle caps left behind), which can impact the overall experience.

For Indiana pet owners seeking a very specific type of veterinary care – namely, essential vaccinations, microchipping, and basic parasite prevention – Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Fishers offers a distinct value proposition. Its primary suitability for locals lies in its emphasis on affordability and convenience for these routine, preventive health measures. If your main goal is to get your pet's annual shots or a microchip without the expense of a full veterinary exam fee, and you are comfortable with a streamlined, focused service model, then Vetco can be a practical option.
The "clinic-in-store" format and often walk-in availability can be a major time-saver for busy Fishers residents, allowing them to integrate pet care seamlessly into their errands. For new puppy or kitten owners looking to quickly get their young pets started on their vaccine series, or for established pets needing annual boosters, the cost-effectiveness can be attractive.
However, local users should approach Vetco with a clear understanding of its limitations and the experiences shared by some customers. It is crucial to be highly communicative about precisely what services you want and to carefully review all documentation before leaving the clinic, especially regarding vaccine types and prescription accuracy. Vetco is not designed for comprehensive diagnostic work, managing complex illnesses, or providing continuous, personalized veterinary relationships that many full-service clinics offer. Therefore, while suitable for targeted preventive care, Indiana pet owners should consider it as a complementary service to a traditional veterinarian, ensuring all aspects of their pet's health are covered. For straightforward vaccination needs in Fishers, Vetco offers a budget-friendly and accessible solution.

Vetco Vaccination Clinic Reviews
My dog did not receive all the vaccines I requested at our appointment so I had to go back in and get his flu vaccine added on. I was charged an additional $5.99 materials fee but it was not my error. Further, I told the technician that my dog uses Revolution and has a BAD reaction to heart guard. My prescription given was heart guard. I was told this would be updated and sent to me but it has not been. I tried to call the customer line and now I’m told I have to go back to when they have a clinic open to ask about fixing the error again.
Feb 19, 2024 · Samantha HillWould give zero stars if I could. Booked my cat an appointment to get her rabies vaccine here. When I got there they asked what vaccines she was needing, I told them I just needed the 3 year rabies. They asked if I wanted to add on any additional vaccines as she was due for all her vaccines. I said no, just the rabies as I already had an appointment for her other vaccines at a later date through her normal vet. They then quoted me $113 which seemed steep but given that I had never gone through vetco before I assumed this was just another overpriced vaccine situation. I then watched as they administered 2 different shots and an oral solution to my cat which I found weird, but again didn’t question as I’m not super knowledgeable on pet vaccinations. I paid and left and they said they were emailing a visit summary. When I reviewed the summary it showed that not only did she not get the 3 year rabies, but she got 2 vaccines I did not ask for and a 1 year rabies shot. They had sent a survey to my email asking me to review my recent visit and I expressed my frustration about the situation. An associate with Vetco then reached out defending her staff and offering a 20% off next service as a solution/apology. Bad business practices, unethical medical practices. Will absolutely not be using that 20% coupon as I would never take a pet here again.
