VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center Reviews
I wish I could say enough about how wonderful our experience has been here. Unfortunately, my girl’s journey is coming to an end after a hard, brave fight, but I cannot express how grateful I am for this location and the whole oncology team. Dr. Manor has been with her since the beginning of the journey, and Dr. Jurcak also stepped in to help with an emergency when Dr. Manor was out of office. Between the two oncologists and all the oncology techs, we have been met with honesty, compassion, and understanding the whole way through. All of our options have been laid out thoroughly for us at every step, without judgement for what I felt was right at that stage for my little girl. I know we all wish the outcome had been different for my pup, but I cannot express how much easier the process has been made by having such compassionate individuals loving and caring for her along the way. My dog Pepper saw every visit as an opportunity to see her friends, rather than a scary place for needles and chemotherapy. I am endlessly grateful, and I would overwhelmingly recommend this team to anyone going through a similarly dark time with their furry family member.
May 03, 2025 · Taylor ForstWe brought our boy Chile here after he lost use of his FR paw and most of his RR due to IVDD. In his case it was in his neck. He was miserable and in terrible pain, and I really feared we’d have to consider putting him down in the very near future. Thanks to Dr Ashley Potts, he is now back to his wild [managed, with precautions and stairs of course!] self running around with his siblings and loving life. You can’t tell he was ever injured…it’s incredible. We cannot be thankful enough. All situations are different and things change, but I know we were wondering what the cost might be, or at least just a ballpark idea to know if it was something we could swing, and in our case we spent a little under $8k to get our sweet Chile back. That was actually *less* than our estimate, too. Substantial but worth every penny and more.He was very well taken care. Thank you guys so much.
Apr 25, 2025 · Taylon WayneIm a general practice veterinarian and I took my own pet here for a medical emergency. They were so lovely. The communication and the quality of medicine were great and I could tell they really cared about his well-being. I am so grateful. 💕 I would trust them with my pets any day.
Apr 01, 2025 · Sarah KurdzielDr. Hui and the team at VCA saved my dog’s life! A month ago, we visited the UrgentVet in Greenwood who diagnosed my dog Jango with an aggressive autoimmune disorder. The vet there said she would only recommended us to an ER vet that she’d send her own dogs to which is how we ended up here. Dr. Hui put him on aggressive treatment plan while Jango was hospitalized for 6 days. They understood how much money we were spending and tried to get him home as soon as safely possible. We received multiple updates a day and even though we were terrified of his prognosis and the roller coaster we were on, we knew he was in the best hands! I read horror stories of other dogs with this condition who did not get the right treatment immediately which often led to them passing away, but we couldn’t have taken our boy to a better place. They knew exactly what to do.It’s been expensive but that’s the nature of emergency vets & vet specialists. Will forever love the staff at VCA and will continue to see everyone there every few weeks for checkups lol.
Jul 02, 2025 · KassidyI would like to share my experience and why I’m only rating 1 star. I work for a little shelter in a small town and had gotten a call about a kitten about 3-4 weeks old. When I picked her up she was covered in maggots, I got the okay from our organization that funds our medical bills for the shelter fur babies to take this kitten to VCA in Fishers. I had gotten there and was told there was a wait which was no big deal when they finally took her back, I did not hear anything about her for 2 hours. When we were finally put in a room the vet came in and discussed options with us and we decided euthanizing her was the best option. They had an IV in her little leg and when the vet started pushing the medication, we had found out her vein had blown. Well they took her back to try to fix it they came back and said they were going to do the sedation through the muscle and the euthanasia through the stomach. Which I found odd to go through the stomach as it’s a longer wait for the medication to take affect. After the kitten finally passed I had asked for something to put her in to carry her out, the technician than proceeds to bring me a GLOVE BOX about 3 inches tall which was very rude in my opinion. This experience was awful and I feel as though the kitten had went through more torture before finally being able to rest. This wasn’t just a traumatizing experience for the kitten, but for me as well. I truly hope this isn’t the experience actual pet owners have and think it is normal because it is not.
