This hospital is open **24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year**, including all holidays. This constant availability means that whether your pet is suffering from **lethargy** late on a Sunday night or has sustained **wounds** on Thanksgiving, expert help is always available without an appointment.
A critical element of the VEG experience, as highlighted by local patrons, is their exceptional policy of allowing owners to stay with their pets throughout the entire treatment process, even during hospitalization. This open approach provides immense comfort to pet owners, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment between the medical team and the pet family. The staff are noted for being **knowledgeable, attentive, compassionate, and incredibly caring**, treating every animal "as if they were their own," which is invaluable during a crisis.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We had an excellent experience at VEG. We brought in our 1-year-old dog, Charlie, the other day after he began showing symptoms of lethargy, vomiting, and HGE. From the moment we arrived, he received immediate attention and a thorough assessment. Every option, test, and procedure was explained to us clearly, including the reasons behind each step and what it would accomplish. His results were shared with us promptly and reviewed in detail, which gave us great peace of mind. Unfortunately he had to be admitted to their hospital for 24 hours to be closely watched and treated. The staff was outstanding- knowledgeable, attentive, compassionate, and incredibly caring. We were given regular updates, and one of the biggest comforts was being able to visit Charlie whenever we wished. Thanks to their dedicated care, Charlie is now on the road to recovery. We are deeply grateful to all the doctors and nurses who treated him as if he were their own.
August 21 · silvia LarsonI brought in my dog Macy for a left eye infection. My regular vet was unable to get me in until next week. I have never been to VEG before, so I was unsure as to what to expect. Everyone was friendly, professional, and compassionate. I work as an Emergency Nurse and Paramedic, so I’m very familiar with medical set ups, and the VEG facility in Brookfield was very impressive and was ready to handle any emergency a pet could have. The pricing was also very transparent, and nothing was a surprise. To be honest, the pricing was surprisingly amazing, especially considering it was an emergency visit. All around I couldn’t say enough good things about my visit. I will definitely be a return customer and will recommend VEG to everyone I know!
July 19 · Michael RobinsonI can’t say enough good about this place. From my first call when they put a vet directly on the phone for me to speak with about my dog’s issue to the time we walked into the facility with 3 staff members waiting (the same vet and 2 techs) who instantly greeted us, VEG is revolutionary in their format. ER visits are always stressful but by allowing you to stay with your pet the entire time and then treating them wherever they’re comfortable, it vastly reduces the stress from both the human and animal. Not only that, they offered snacks and beverages during our visit as my dog laid next to me on the comfy cushioned bench. They even brought him a blanket. If you have a medical emergency with your pet, I highly recommend VEG. Price wise, they were in line with other ERs. I wish all vet care followed this model. It truly took what is for many a horrible experience and turned it into a fantastic one (all things considered).
May 01 · lsouthern64VEG exceeded my expectations. The whole staff makes you feel comfortable and informed about your animals care. I arrived with a seizing dog and they jumped in to care for her. The open concept allows you to stay with your pet and have that constant communication.
August 05 · Kathy BailyNot how I wanted to start the weekend, but glad I chose VEG to take my dog to this morning when I realized he had an issue. Walking in, I was awed at the open concept, but was a little nervous about it too. Turns out it is quite amazing. To see how they interact with each other in a calm and professional manner, while in turn showing the empathy for all those that were visiting and needing their services. The group is truly passionate about compassion and efficiency. They did an amazing job telling us what was happening and keeping everyone informed of when it would be their turn. They encouraged participation in our pets care, and answered all questions. Highly recommend this place for times when needed!Thank you to the entire staff that was there June 7th!! Cooper thanks you too, even though he is still sleepy! 😁
