★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My cats and I LOVE Dr. McDonald!!! She is our absolute favorite! She talks to your cat like it’s her own and makes your pet feel comfortable while also getting the job done. My cats can be very anxious when it comes to the vet but they actually come out of the carrier on their own when she walks in the room. Love cream city kitty!!!
August 29 · JewellDr. McDonald and the team at Cream City Kitty Clinic are truly exceptional. Scout, a stray kitten, showed up on our doorstep in Chicago severely injured, and we quickly discovered she had multiple pelvic fractures and a broken hind leg. We found a vet surgeon in Chicago to perform the surgery but needed to get Scout established with a vet for primary care.None of the vets we saw in Chicago could match the expertise and care she received from Dr. McDonald. Although the clinic is in Waukesha, WI, we gladly make the 1.5 hour drive from Chicago because Dr. McDonald is simply the best. Her depth of experience as a feline-only vet is unparalleled. Dr. McDonald has taken care of several generations of cats in our family, including those of my mother and late sister. She is the only vet we trust, and her dedication to their well-being gives us immense peace of mind.If you’re looking for a vet who truly understands and cares for cats, I can’t recommend Dr. McDonald and Cream City Kitty Clinic enough. Thank you, Dr. McDonald, for taking care of our rescue kitten Scout and for all the cats who’ve been fortunate enough to be under your care! 🐾
January 21 · Nancy VegaThe vets here are knowledgeable. I gave 5 stars since they are experienced and know what they are doing. I would not describe them as compassionate. One thing to remember, I know you see a lot of cats in a given week and it seems to be the same thing daily to you. However, to a pet owner this is likely the first time experiencing this when this could be your 100th...please always remember this ❤️. There is also one particular lady who works at the desk who is not very nice. I am not sure if it's in malice but go where you don't have to work with people....seriously. The rest of the ladies are wonderful.
March 20 · Brandi TwiggIf you have a cat or cats and you want a vet where they only treat cats. This is where you go. However, I wouldn't do so at the expense of quality service. The actual vet is extremely caring and nice. She even saved my kitties life after a bad reaction to a vaccine. But a few years later, after being late to just TWO appointments-my cats were placed on the "drop off" status... Meaning I could no longer take them there at there regular scheduled time and be with them during their appointment. I have to bring them in from 8-9 AM and be on call the rest of the day to pick them up. I understand this is a common practice with vets. But after TWO times of being less than 15 minutes late? Maybe if it was for no shows, maybe if it were in some kind of contract I signed prior to treatment of my cats. Or even a verbal understanding, but really? Then, the first day I dropped off my cat for an appointment, I picked him up, and the (FYI EXTREMELY RUDE) staff told me they couldn't do the exam because he (my cat) would not allow them to do it (come again? You are veterinarians, have someone hold the cat while the other does the job?), and that from this point forward they are requesting I get the cat sedated each appointment! I was so upset at the thought, and the future expenses(!): I didn't even realize they still charged me for the entire appointment that day! EVEN FOR SERVICES NOT RENDERED! I learned my lesson and am definitely looking elsewhere.P.S. Maybe if I was allowed to be there during the appointments per usual like the past five years, the examination could have been carried out just fine! Whose so afraid of a 5 year old cat???But sure, if you can only be in a "cat only" place... Go for it...
April 07 · Heidi JacobsonThey really spent some time with me and my cat; they didn't just rush me in and out. They looked at the past history that I brought in ad well. They have lots of nice cats hanging out in the lobby to greet you. Very knowledgeable and friendly doctor. It was a great experience and I will be taking my cats there from now in. 1 yr Distemper, 3 yr rabies and exam was $113
