★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1You guys are fabulous. My poor kitten was near death. No real signs of life. After they dis what they needed. They sent home meds. The next day he was running and playing.it was a miracle. I won't take any of my pets no one else.
July 06 · Jeanette Copelandwould never ever recommend taking any animal here for any sort of care. I took my cat Oscar here to be neutered around/under just 2 weeks ago today 04/08/2025. He’s been to the ER vet in Louisville & Benny Moore since then, no less than like $1200 later he’s now staying over night at Moore’s tonight. I got him back the same day he was fixed, just several hours after the procedure. He was so out of it when we got home though, his tongue was hanging out of his mouth, couldn’t eat or drink. more or less was staying in 1 spot and not moving. I had been warned of leftover “loopiness” or sedation but it was much more intense than I was expecting. the next morning I went to check on him before work, he was hiding and not responding to his name being called or food bag being shaken. (very, VERY unlike him.) I finally found him and attempted togive him more oral pain medication Waltz had sent us home with. I went ahead and went to work, came home and noticed what I thought was “spotting” next to him which was another thing Waltz warned us of. I took a look at his behind and he was bleeding much more than what any sort of “spotting” should be. We rushed him to Louisville Metro, spent hundreds more there for fluids and meds. There, they confirmed there was no indication of Oscar inducing the bleeding himself, he had not bothered the incision sight, leaving the reason for the excessive bleeding “unexplained” for the time being. Metro gave him fluids and 3 day pain meds that they applied for me. I called Waltz the next morning at 8-9AM to tell them about Oscar’s anfter surgery issues and the new Vet bills. Waltz employees had no interest in hearing about the new vet bills caused by Oscar’s surgery. The front got me on the phone with the Male veterinarian that done Oscar’s procedure (I do not remember his name at this time). His assumption was that Oscar opened the incision himself but I told him several other opinions says otherwise. His next instruction was that I was to continue to watch over Oscar myself, then give Waltz a call back at 12 O’clock, then another call back at 3 O’clock that day to “see” if he needed seen again. This did not sit right with me, it seemed like such lack of urgency. I then continued to comfort and care for Oscar, trying to get him to eat and drink, which he did neither willingly for almost a full week after that. he stayed in one spot again almost that whole time. I had to force him to eat likable treats for this week, while hoping and assuming he would eventually bounce back and be less affected by all the meds he was on. by the end of the week though, he did seem to be perking up, being his lovable self again. he even started eating and drinking. I thought it was over with and I was just happy he was coming back. Then, few days goes by and he starts butt scooting on my rugs. The first time I checked him after seeing this, it seemed to me like maybe he was just trying to itch his incision. Then he starts throwing up, then scooting while leaving large amounts of poop behind. Could not get him in anywhere else in Madison, refused to take him back to Waltz. Now, again $1200+ later, he’s staying over night at Moore’s with bad liver stats, dehydrated again, a swollen scrodum plus more. This is just a summed up version of my terrible, recent experience with Waltz Clinic. It all has honestly felt like a bad dream, and a gamble if I might lose my cat over the decision to get him fixed. Please pick somewhere else for your animal’s care
