Willow Brook Animal Hospital Reviews
I love the Willow Brook Animal Hospital, Dr. Barfield and her crew. They take such good care of my Cash!!! I have texted her office in the middle of the night, and they respond very quickly with a plan. There have been times when I wanted to put Cash down, but Dr. Barfield was and have been very adamant about Cash still having a good quality of life. I am glad I chose Willow Brook Animal Hospital for my baby's care. I don't have one regret.
Jun 19, 2025 · Patriece AlexanderI had a great experience at Willowbrook! The vet tech and vet assistant were both very warm and welcoming. The service was rather quick and easy to understand. They were both very knowledgeable and the assistant was very understanding of my anxiety to learn that my dog had to have surgery. They even offered to clip my dogs nails the day of the surgery at no extra cost! The vet knew right away that my dog had a tumor and not mastitis as I had assumed. The surgery went off without a hitch and Alyvia is now home and recovering. I am awaiting the results from the lab about the tumor but remain hopeful and grateful to the team. I can't wait to bring my new rescue pup in for her shots and deworming. 10/10 definitely recommend!
Dec 27, 2024 · Alysia “SiaL8r”I have a hard time writing this review because Willow Brook has so many things that are good about it, but the one thing that they should excel at is poor and very concerning so I’ll jump right to this first. Some of the techs as well as Dr. Maya Barfield do not handle pets with respect and care, very little time is spent building even the slightest trust with pets before they start to work on/around them. I have a high energy German Shepherd puppy that I’ve brought to their office for all of his starter vaccines, boosters, and wellness checks. When I am first checked in, the tech who always checks my puppy’s temps is very gentle, with minimal handling between herself and I, we are able to get my puppy’s temps without any yelping or him trying to fight his way away from us. It’s a stark difference once Dr. Barfield enters the room. She boasts about how she knows how to handle dogs, yet every time she has handled him, it’s incredibly rough and he yelps and tries to get away from her. My last visit, he wouldn’t sit still for her to get heart and lung sounds so instead of allowing me to use my training to have him sit and stay, she lifted him by the collar with his front legs dangling off the ground. This was my final straw after multiple visits where my puppy is left clearly shaken and uncomfortable by the rough handling. Dr. Barfield also tends to take pets into the back more often for even basic things, so if she’s okay doing this in front of me, I can’t help, but worry what she does behind closed doors to get compliance from pets. Also, Dr. Barfield has tried to push countless times for me to get my puppy neutered at or before a year old when it’s well documented that GSDs should not be neutered/spayed before 18 months to allow for full development and prevent hip dysplasia(a very common issue in the breed). It’s unfortunate that I have to write this review because this vet office has great prices and often times can squeeze in appointments and reschedules when needed which has been so helpful with a very difficult work schedule. If you have pets that don’t need a lot of handling and are easy to work with at the vet and with strangers, I see this being the right place for you, but I caution anyone who has high energy, working breed dogs or puppies that struggle more in a vet environment. For the safety and well being of my puppy, I have chosen to find a new clinic.
May 09, 2025 · Courtney MaeIt was our first visit to this clinic and it went amazing. Each and every person in this office was super nice. The doctor took time to explain my Dash issue and came up with a game plan that is currently working for us. Thank you all for being such an amazing staff.
Feb 18, 2025 · tonette cottonI took my Coco in she was bleeding from being in heat. They charged me $351 to look at her. And then they said she needed a blood transfusion that it would cost $1600 or more with no promise that she would make it through the procedure. Then they charged me extra for the thing in her leg to take blood test. I feel they over charged me to have my Coco put to sleep because I couldn't afford the $1600 to give her blood with no percent chances of her making it through it. and then it cost another $300 to have her cremated. I really think they over charged me I will not recommend these people ever I feel I was taken advantage of in my hurt and my pain.
