SPS Coral Frags: The store is particularly noted for its reasonably priced SPS (Small Polyp Stony) coral frags. SPS corals are highly sought after by advanced reef aquarists for their vibrant colors and intricate growth patterns, and Saltwater City provides a reliable source for these.
Variety of Live Corals: Beyond SPS, the store likely offers a broader selection of live corals, catering to different preferences and tank conditions, enabling customers to build diverse and thriving reef ecosystems.
Marine Invertebrates: To support a balanced marine environment, Saltwater City also provides various invertebrates such as snails (as noted by a customer) and other cleanup crew members essential for a healthy reef tank.
Aquarium Supplies for Marine Setups: While reviews highlight livestock, it is expected that a specialized marine store would also carry a range of essential supplies for saltwater tanks, including salt mix, filtration media, lighting, pumps, test kits, and specialized foods.

Reasonably Priced SPS Frags: Customers specifically praise the "reasonably priced SPS frag" selection. For reef enthusiasts, finding healthy and affordable SPS corals can be challenging, making Saltwater City a valuable resource in the Washington area.
Fair Pricing without Gimmicks: A key differentiator mentioned in reviews is the absence of "ridiculous sales gimmicks like, buy 4 over priced corals and get 4 free." Instead, they offer "Just fair prices," which builds trust and transparency with customers.

Saltwater City Reviews
Saltwater City deserves way more traffic than the local alternative. About once a month I make my round to the Bellevue local fish stores and Saltwater City never disappoints and I've always come home with either a reasonably priced SPS frag or quarantined fish that actually survived! No ridiculous sales gimmicks like, buy 4 over priced corals and get 4 free. Just fair prices, quality livestock and friendly staff.
Nov 21, 2024 · ToddMy friend is in the fish keeping hobby and brought me here. It was really clean and it seems like the fish and corals are all really taken care of. My friend got some snails and it was a lot of fun chatting with the people working and learning more about the coral types. Very clean and organized store, with plenty of space if you use a mobility aid too.
Nov 20, 2023 · Emerson MurrayI’ve shopped at Saltwater City since the early 2000s! Well I did take about a decade off before getting back into the hobby this year. These guys know their stuff! They can get in any livestock or hardgoods that you request. They pre-quarantine most fish for 2 weeks. Who else does that?!They have corals sized from frag to colony size. The tanks are always clean. The staff is happy. This is THE fish store of the area.
May 22, 2025 · Jeremy BenezraFrom out of town and stopped in here while out for work. Great selection and helpful staff. After hearing me and my friend were from 4 1/2 hours away all of our fish were nicely packed in a Styrofoam container for us. All the fish we brought home are doing well and the prices are far better than what I can get at my lfs, would gladly make the trip again
Oct 08, 2024 · Chris CrooksThis is definitely our go-to store for our evolving tank! Such a great selection and they are incredibly helpful. They are always great about answering all our questions and guiding us with all their expertise. Special shout-out to Chris. The man is a wealth of knowledge and not afraid to share it.
