The Seattle Barkery Introduce
For dog owners across Washington, providing the very best for their furry companions is a priority, and that often includes delicious, healthy treats. While many pet stores offer pre-packaged options, there's a special delight in finding freshly baked, high-quality goodies made specifically for canine palates. The Seattle Barkery, with its stand-alone shop in Kirkland, Washington, is a revolutionary concept that has been serving up smiles (and wagging tails) since 2014. What started as the first mobile doggie treat truck in the Pacific Northwest has grown into a beloved family-owned business, renowned for its commitment to local ingredients and exceptional "pup-stomer" service. This article will explore what makes The Seattle Barkery a unique and cherished local resource, detailing its delicious offerings, convenient location, and why it's a must-visit for dog parents throughout the Washington region.
The Seattle Barkery began with a simple yet brilliant idea from owners Ben and Dawn Ford: to create high-quality, grain-free treats for their own picky Pekingese, Sherman. What started as an effort to ensure their dog received delicious and tummy-safe goodies quickly expanded into a business that revolutionized the pet treat industry in the Pacific Northwest. In 2014, they launched "Buster," the region's first food truck dedicated solely to dogs, combining the popular food truck trend with canine culinary delights. This innovative approach quickly gained traction, leading to the expansion of their operations to include a treat trailer, a treat bar, and now, a stand-alone shop in Kirkland. The Seattle Barkery prides itself on being family-owned and operated, emphasizing the use of local ingredients and partnering with other passionate local makers within the Northwest. Their philosophy is simple: provide only the highest quality treats and customer service, ensuring every "pup-stomer" feels special. They are also deeply committed to animal welfare, having fostered over 60 dogs for various Seattle rescue groups and owning multiple rescue dogs themselves. This passion for dogs is baked into every treat and every interaction, creating a truly unique and heartfelt experience for clients.

The Seattle Barkery Reviews
Lots of things for doggies, and my pet was very happy- but things are quite pricey. We got him a treat, a bow tie, and his girlfriend a bow. He absolutely loved being in there, but again, pricey for the items. Woman working was nice and friendly.
Apr 22, 2022 · lilly lilly lillyServing up freshly made treats since 2014! The Seattle Barkery became the first of its kind in the PNW, combining food trucks with dogs. Since then, we’ve added a treat TRAILER, a BAR, as well as a stand alone SHOP located in the heart of the Emerald city! We are family owned and use local ingredients as well as partner with other passionate, local makers here in the Northwest. We only give the highest quality treats and customer service to each pup-stomer!
Oct 22, 2021 · Kevin DunlapWithout a doubt my pup Elsa will always drag me over here when we’re on lunch break! Everyone is always so kind, and my nervous pup loves them all! They have such cute treats, toys, and clothing. Shout out to Julie for always spoiling my girl so much! We love it here.
Apr 06, 2022 · Kaycee BassettLove the Barkery! They have the cutest stuff for dogs (and a little bit for cats) and make a big effort to sell items in their shop made by small businesses and crafters of the PNW. The entrance is currently tagged in the wrong place on Google so until Google fixes that I wanted to try to spread the word via a review. It's on the parking lot side of the plaza, not the 120th side and it's actually in the other building too, not the one with Trader Joe's and Nordstom Rack.
Nov 01, 2021 · Melissa RideoutThey are super nice here! Really top-tier customer service. My girlfriend love this place. She got a pumpkin pie for our dog here… Shall I say more? Our dog is spoiled..
