Animal Care Center of Polaris Reviews
Highly recommend for rabbit care! I brought in my new little guy Robert for his first exam, everyone was SO friendly and excited to meet him. The veterinarian has two house bunnies of her own and was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and patient with my many questions. When she took Bob to the back to administer his vaccines I could hear her and the tech squealing about how cute he is 🤭 I knew he was in great hands. I left feeling great about the visit, with a giant stack of info packets about bunny care, an appointment for 3 weeks for the second round of vaccines, plans to neuter once he’s 6 months, and $100.05 poorer which I thought was a great price for exam and vaccines. Highly recommend!
Jun 28, 2025 · Alyssa DundarThey all are the best there. I live in Orient and still drive all the way to Polaris because they’re so wonderful. They work with Ohio Rescue in other rescue groups. They do wonderful work for these groups by offering discounts for these groups. We got Abbey from Ohio Rescue and this was the vet office assigned to her. She had a lot of health issues and they were with us the whole way. Again kind wonderful people who do their due diligence to make sure your animal is healthy and happy.
Jan 12, 2025 · Connie TrinkleWe saw Dr. Thompson last week for a consultation and had surgery with her this past Monday. She is such a great doctor and really took good care of my baby. We received great pre-op instructions, updates regarding the surgery on the day of, and clear and easy care instructions upon discharge. The entire staff was incredibly helpful and kind. The facility is very nice and clean.
Apr 15, 2025 · Angel LukeThe staff here is excellent. All the that texts are amazing with the animals and I could not be happier with their service. They treat my dogs like they are the only two dogs in the office and I see that they do that for everyone that comes in. The staff knows the dog's names by heart and many times the dogs are happy to see them which of course is rare because they're at the vet's office.Had an.Emergency situation with my dog and it wound up that he had pneumonia and Animal Care has taken amazing care of him -here's a picture of him & his favorite person at the office, Miss Rachel..For my little potato, who was not feeling well at the time the picture was taken , he knows he is in good hands with her and managed a smile as she helped him..
May 23, 2025 · Michelle HuntI've been taking my dogs here for 7 years since they've been born as the group that I rescued them from used this vet. Over that time this office has changed management I think three times if not four and every time it has gone downhill from there. The staff has gotten to be extremely rude and entitled and even though they have made mistakes they have made me and my animals suffer because of it. It is always a hassle to try to get my dog's prescriptions filled and has been so for about the last 2 years. Either there is no doctor around to do it or they forget to do it and we have to stand there and wait for them to do it at another time and recently I had my dog in as they told me she needed service and when I got there they told me she had nothing to do so I ended up getting my prescriptions and leaving. Turns out they were supposed to at least give her a blood test so that I could continue to get my prescriptions but then they told me the next time I wanted it filled that I had to bring her back in for a blood test. Here's the problem I'm a single parent with a very busy job so the only time I can come in again since I already took off to bring her in was nights and weekends when they are either not open or don't have a doctor to be able to give her the blood test. I set up the blood test at the first available Saturday but they would not give me a temporary prescription fill until they had someone available on a Saturday to meet with us. Instead of being accommodating or even kind at all they were extremely rude made me so upset I cried because I just want to take care of my dog properly and they don't seem to give a hoot that my dog would not be able to have her medicine during the interim. This is the second time they were extremely rude the last time they actually hung up on me. I work in sales and customer service and the way that they treated me after being there for 7 years was completely rude and unacceptable I will never recommend this vet to anyone and I would tell anyone to run away fast there are plenty of other vets who are much more kind and for that matter have doctors available when you need them.
