Animal Eye Consultants: Jamieson Vivian E DVM Introduce
For pet owners in the greater Chicago area and across Illinois, the bond we share with our animals is incredibly strong. When our beloved companions face complex health issues, particularly those affecting their sight, we want to find a specialist who is not only a leader in their field but also provides compassionate care. Animal Eye Consultants, with its Naperville office, is a specialty veterinary practice dedicated exclusively to the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases in animals. While a traditional veterinarian can handle many routine eye issues, a specialist like Dr. Jamieson Vivian is essential for managing complex or urgent conditions. This article provides a clear and informative overview of the services offered at this Naperville location, helping Illinois residents understand when a specialized referral may be the best choice for their pet.
Animal Eye Consultants operates as a referral practice, meaning they work in close partnership with a pet's primary care veterinarian. This collaborative approach ensures that a pet's overall health is considered while they receive focused, specialized care for their eye condition. The practice's mission is to provide the highest quality ophthalmic care for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, and even birds and exotic pets. They are equipped with advanced diagnostic tools and surgical capabilities to address everything from common issues like corneal ulcers to more complex conditions like glaucoma and cataracts.
It is important to acknowledge that specialized veterinary care, by its nature, can be a significant financial investment. As highlighted in a candid customer review, the costs for advanced diagnostics and treatments, such as those for glaucoma, can be high. This is a reality of specialty medicine, but the clinic works to provide solutions like CareCredit to help manage costs. While the reviews reflect a range of experiences—from a dedicated and knowledgeable staff to concerns about bedside manner and cost—they all point to the clinic's role as a provider of highly specific and crucial services that may be the only option for a pet's sight or comfort. This factual overview will detail the specific services, location, and key features to help you navigate this important healthcare decision.

While cost is a valid concern, as highlighted in a review, it is important to understand that this is a reflection of specialized care, advanced equipment, and the time required for complex diagnostics and procedures. Animal Eye Consultants: Jamieson Vivian E DVM Reviews
It becomes very unfortunate when your dog or cat needs this place for help with eye problems. To begin with they make you pay 300.00 dollars just to see the vet first visit. My dog has got glaucoma which carries very costly visits. Pressure checks are 40.00 dollars and to look at her thru the vet 160.00 dollars. Or dog lost her right eye they had to destroy it costing 1200.00 dollars. Animals with this disease the pressure in the eye can cause great pain. So anyone reading this just note this place is costly to the extreme. They put on a act they care about your animal which is bull. This place cares about how much they can make on your animal. This place was going to sell us eye medication for a small bottle 70.00 dollars where I could get it at Sams club for 10.00 dollars. Just note if you love your animal and do not want to put them to sleep if they get glaucoma be prepared to spend a lot of money. I do not like this place at all but I am forced to take our dog here. Our family loves the dog and this place depends on that so they can rip you off.
