A.D.O.P.T. Clinic Introduce
For animal lovers across Illinois, providing the best care for our pets is a top priority. However, the cost of veterinary services can sometimes be a barrier. In Naperville, a community-focused solution is the A.D.O.P.T. Clinic, a non-profit organization that stands for "Animals Deserving of Proper Treatment." This clinic is more than just a veterinary practice; it's a mission-driven entity dedicated to making essential medical care, particularly spay/neuter services and vaccinations, accessible and affordable to all pet owners. Their unique model focuses on high-volume, low-cost procedures, allowing them to serve a wide range of clients who might otherwise struggle to afford these crucial services. This article provides a comprehensive overview of the A.D.O.P.T. Clinic, highlighting its core services, mission, and the features that make it a highly valuable resource in the Naperville area.
The philosophy of the A.D.O.P.T. Clinic is rooted in animal welfare and compassionate care. They believe that every companion animal deserves access to medical attention, regardless of their owner's financial situation. This belief is put into practice through their low-cost services, which include everything from vaccinations and heartworm testing to spay/neuter surgeries. While they specialize in these core services, a key aspect of their model is the willingness to help pet owners meet basic care needs at a reasonable price. As noted by a client, their vaccine prices are significantly lower than what one might find at a traditional full-service vet. This affordability, combined with the kind and caring nature of their staff, creates a welcoming environment for both pets and their owners. For many in the community, the A.D.O.P.T. Clinic is not just a place for vet care but also a trusted partner in responsible pet ownership.
Beyond their clinic services, A.D.O.P.T. is also a well-known animal shelter, a fact that underscores their deep commitment to the welfare of animals in the region. This mission-driven approach means that every dollar spent on services at the clinic helps to support the broader work of the shelter, contributing to a virtuous cycle of care and compassion. Whether you are seeking a simple vaccine for your cat or dog, or are looking for an affordable spay/neuter option, this guide will provide all the information you need to understand why the A.D.O.P.T. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1They offer low cost exams for vaccines, multiple vaccines for dogs and cats, and heartworm preventative, and spay/neuter procedures. They do not offer blood work besides heartworm tests like a larger panel yet. However, they informed me that once they get a new doctor they will be doing more blood work. I was able to get my dog the vaccines that she needed for $100 including the price of the exam. Had I done that at my outside vet it would be well over $300. Because they don't do a very expensive exam or in-depth testing, I still take my animals to see my regular vet annually as well.
June 12 · Amy LynnVery nice clinic. We took our cat for annual check up. The vet was very nice and kind. I would Recommend for your pet
August 02 · Amit BashyalGreat clinic my dog got neutered. Everything went well. Affordable prices and great service.
August 01 · Stephani LegorretaI have volunteered at ADOPT Pet Shelter since 2016 and I have worked in many departments there, including the clinic. I know firsthand how dedicated the staff and volunteers are to animal welfare. My dog also had surgery at ADOPT and it was a great experience, for him and for me. The veterinary team is top notch, extremely knowledgeable, talented and caring. I recommend the low-cost spay/neuters, dental services and vaccine clinic to everyone I know. ADOPT truly is providing a very valuable and excellent service to the community. I’m including a picture of my dog who is the sweetest boy ever ❤️🐾
October 27 · Jill BolandPlease DO NOT neuter or spay your pets here. We brought in our 2-year old golden retriever foster pup for her spay, and when we went to go pick her back up, they carried her to the car completely “sedated.” We asked about this as this has never been our experience before, and they informed us that this was normal. When we got home 25 minutes later, she was still unconscious so we called A.D.O.P.T again to check-in. We mentioned we suspect her gums were a light pink, and the person on the phone checked with a vet and assured us that all of this was normal. About 30 minutes after our call, our pup started gasping for air. We rushed her to a trusted vet, but they could not save her. A spay is a routine procedure and had there been complications, they should have informed us and kept our pup for observation. Instead, after promising us her condition was normal, they informed our trusted vet that our pup walked to the car after her procedure, happily wagging her tail. There are no words to describe how I feel about this situation, and the staff at A.D.O.P.T. Not only is this veterinary neglect, but inhumane. Please, DO NOT, bring your pets here.
