Animal Eye Specialists Reviews
We were very happy with the treatment of our cat who lost her eye to an corneal sequestrum. Dr. Donahue was very thorough with our options and treated her with great care. Some reviews I've seen are pretty harsh. Yes it does seem like it's a bit too hectic there. But I think context is important they are basically the only animal eye specialist on the south shore so it is hectic. They are very regimental and thorough and that can come off as hard and harsh. But the care has been wonderful and glad they are there. Otherwise we would have to drive all the way to Walpole or Newton.
Feb 04, 2025 · Bill DineenDr Donahue neglected to tell me, despite an in depth phone conversation on the very topic, that coming back a different day as opposed to leaving my dog for the day would result in hundreds of dollars more in repeat exam and tests. When I asked him why he didn't disclose this beforehand so i could make an informed choice, he said we need go elsewhere. This will also cost me hundreds in repeat exams rather than putting my hard earned money tward the treatment that my dog needs. This place is very disorganized and the conversation I had with him made no sense
Feb 13, 2025 · Brie BortmessI have been informed By a family friend that there dog came in today. It was a bulldog healthy and strong just went to get a shot. Little did they know that day would be the last day because the doctor put in the wrong shot . This is very unprofessional and should be put out of business ASAP
Feb 19, 2025 · Love WatIn this day and age, people seem to take the time to complain, belittle or sabotage an individual but very few will give credit where it is due.Several months ago, much to my dismay and heartbreak, I discovered my young Siberian Husky had bilateral juvenile cataracts. Obviously I was devastated and anxious to have her seen by a top ophthalmologist.Upon entering Dr. Donohue’s office, I was immediately put at ease by the friendly and polite staff and the clean atmosphere. Dr. Donohue was amazing with my puppy! He was truly interested in getting to know her, put her at ease and spend some time with us before beginning his extremely thorough exam. She was seen several times before I made the decision to proceed with surgery. Dr. Donohue explained all the tests, treatments and medicationsthat were to happen and personally called to see how she was doing leading up to the surgery. On the day of surgery, I was obviously quite nervous, and the doctor took the time out of his busy schedule to speak to me prior to surgery.I’m delighted to say, not only did the surgery go well but the entire outcome was positive. My Miska has her vision back, is pain free and looks phenomenal! I can’t say enough positive things about this practice.
Aug 08, 2018 · Jennifer NounMy dog had a pigmentation disease in both eyes and 2 popped ulcers in his left eye. Dr Donahue saved my dog’s sight. He’s exceptionally smart, diligent and respectful. He showed me what he saw and provided options before having to do surgery. I highly recommend him!
