February 27 · Lou Urzua7-days ago, Lexi injured her eye, requiring emergency eye surgery to reduce pain and save her from this life-threatening injury.4-days ago, Lexi was seen at Animal Eye Vet in Murrieta, where she was seen within 2 hours of calling and surgery within 30 minutes of being seen. They had so much compassion and kindness to us and our sweet Lexi. They identified additional conditions needing treatment missed by other vets. She had her eye moved. The biggest thank you to everyone at #animaleyevet for the love and care that was provided to us all.Today, she is present, calm, navigating the house, and trying to get through the dog door with her cone. She has left the safety of her bed to welcome us home with smiles and encircling our feet. Her eating and drinking habits are back to normal. We are blessed with our loving 15 year old sweet girl and will continue to cherish her until the end of her days. We love you, baby girl.We are so glad we found you Dr. Ashton and your practice. If your animal needs specialized eye care we 100% recommend coming here. We traveled 60 miles to be seen and it's worth the commute.
March 28 · Emily BarnardTook our Great Dane to have his cherry eye evaluated. Worst experience with a vet I have ever encountered. She was so aggressive with him, wanted him shoved in a corner to try to stick something in his eye. Called him rude because he was fighting having something stuck in his eye and when I mentioned that he doesn’t act like this with his vet, her reply was “then take him to his vet and have him evaluated”. We ended up walking out of the exam, she stated he needed to be sedated, didn’t ask me or even talk to me about sedation which is when I said no and walked out. She was very cold, and didn’t seem to really care much for a large breed or just dogs in general was the vibe she set. Great Danes are scaredy cats in general but to not even try to warm up to him at all, instead just shove him in the corner, hold his head while I come at him with a stick to his eye. Should his vet recommend further evaluation, I will take him to a different county if I have to!
July 25 · Kelly ForsheyGood pet eye Specialist in the area.Lower stars because:1) they don't take patients + owner into the exam rooms (talked to in the lobby), and2) they charge 3% for credit cards and 5% for Care Credit.(because everyone has $2k in their wallet?)I've never been to a Dr.s office that did this, only small Mom&Pop businesses.
