Happy Tails Veterinary Hospital Reviews
I recently changed vets to Happy Tails with Dr. C. This practice is like a night and day experience. My dog is happy to go into the office; I don't have to pick him up or drag him in. Immediately, upon your arrival he is showered with pets and a treat. My dog Brewster has been suffering from ear infects for the last 2 years and Dr. C was able to get rid of his ear infections and suggest ways to prevent them in the future. My dog no longer has itchy skin; his skin isn't dry, flaky or discolored. He just seems so happy now that he isn't itching all the time. Dr. C is extremely knowledgeable, patient, kind and takes the time to answer any and all questions completely; she does not rush you out of the office. She honestly makes you feel like you are the only patient in the office. During several procedures, the vet tech would give Brewster whip cream to lick while the scary parts for him were going on. They know dogs and you can tell they are passionate about what they do. This job is not just a paycheck to them; they genuinely care about their clients. I am so happy that my neighbor recommended Dr. C. and Happy Tails. Thank you Happy Tails Veterinary Hospital and Dr. C for all you do; I am glad to know that you have Brewster's back.
Mar 04, 2025 · Jodi SalzmanI have been taking my dogs to Dr. Catala at Happy Tails for about four years. After many years of pet ownership and many different veterinarians (due to moving for school, career etc), I can say that without a doubt, Dr. Catala is the best. She is incredibly knowledgeable, yet humble, personable and engaging. She is very thorough, and she makes me feel like we are her most important appointment of the day. One of my favorite things about her is that she listens. She doesn't just let me talk; she intently listens to my concerns, and then she takes the time to address them one by one. She explains all of the treatment options, including pros and cons of each, and she encourages me to be part of the decision-making process. She is so loving towards my dogs, and she has such a calming and gentle presence. On more than one occasion, when my dog was being a bit of a challenge getting her nails trimmed by the tech, Dr. C herself got down on the floor with my dog and for the next 20 minutes, she patiently worked on my dog's nails until they were done, speaking lovingly to my dog the entire time. Whenever my dogs need any sort of procedure done, Dr. C is mindful of the cost, and always outlines for me the "must-do's" vs the "can-wait's", in an effort to minimize the financial burden. I have never felt that an unnecessary test was ordered or recommended, and she has even gone out of her way to help me figure out the most cost-effective way of getting certain prescriptions. She always returns my calls in a timely manner, and at the end of every conversation, she asks if I have any more questions, rather than rushing me off the phone or out the door.On another note, one of my dogs recently developed an urgent medical issue somewhat overnight. I called the office as soon as it opened the next morning, but Dr. C was doing surgeries that day, and therefore was not seeing patients in the clinic. However, she offered for me to drop my dog off so that she could evaluate him in between surgeries. He ended up needing wound care and antibiotics, and she took care of him in between surgeries, and I was able to pick up him later that afternoon. She could have easily referred me to an emergency vet clinic, and I was so grateful that she cared that much to work my dog into her schedule during her busy surgery day.Her staff is wonderful as well. All of the vet techs are friendly and welcoming. Sara and Emma at the front desk are extremely attentive and knowledgeable. Anytime I call or email either of them with questions or concerns, they respond very quickly with thorough answers, having already consulted with Dr. C when warranted. The clinic itself is always bright and clean, and despite having animals coming and going all day (with inevitable pet accidents here and there), it never smells like urine or even like wet dog. The floor and furniture always appears clean, and the patient rooms are tidy and organized. Pleasant, instrumental music is always playing softly through the speakers which is nice.In summary, I highly recommend Happy Tails Veterinary Hospital. 5/5. It is clean and conveniently located. Clients are treated with respect and empathy. The entire staff is professional, friendly and caring, and Dr. Catala is an absolute gem.
Feb 13, 2025 · April BaileyThe BEST Vet I've ever experienced, and there are some great vets out there.Happy Tails' bedside manner is beyond remarkable. Moxy actually gets excited to go to the doc. I don't even think she realized she had a couple of vaccinations on her first visit. It's a team effort, the whole staff is so genuinely kind and happy to see your fur buddy.
May 14, 2022 · Simply ComplexHappy Tails is easily the best vet in the area. I feel like they care about my cat the same way I do. It’s one of just a few fear-free clinics so it’s not traumatic for your animals. They move slowly and have never used heavy restraint or scruffed my cat. I was worried that she would be nervous, so they gave me some calming medication to give her ahead of time. During a blood draw on her first visit, she was a bit apprehensive so the doctor put her in a cat swaddle, which kept her calm and I think made her feel safe. They do everything in the room with me during the visits, but since they are fear free I trust that If they had to take her to the back to do treatments, they wouldn’t force my cat to do anything. Their staff is friendly and their services are not overpriced. As a bonus they employ vet students as assistants and techs and many of the employees are bilingual speaking both English and Spanish. And it is privately owned by Dr. Catala, so I know I’m getting personalized care that isn’t controlled by a large corporation and that my money is going to support a locally owned business.I couldn’t recommend them more.
