VCA Cornerstone Animal Hospital Reviews
Dr de Silvia and her staff have been delivering wonderful care for my two senior felines for many years, including one who was a diabetic who loved to be almost 18yo. They are a loving and caring clinic who cared for our fur babies and their parents too. These clinicians are wonderful.
Mar 17, 2024 · Sheila CullerI scheduled two pet appointments, one for 5:40pm and the other for 6pm. Upon arrival, VCA called me, stating that I was late and needed to reschedule. I informed the representative that I was doing a U-turn turning into VCA and had arrived. The representative incorrectly claimed that I had scheduled both appointments for 5:40pm, which I denied, informing I have screenshot evidence of the different appointment times. I said okay, I did schedule one for 6pm and asked if there is anyway to see one of my pets. She proceeds to say no you schedule both for 5:40 as if it was a blame game of you a lying for a good minute or so. I informed her no ma’am I did not repeatedly there was no way possible for me to schedule both pets for 5:40 unless you all went in and changed it. The representative then admitted that VCA had altered the schedule, but still expected me to arrive at 5:40pm with both pets. Then states we need to get you rescheduled. Due to the representative's unprofessional tone and lack of empathy, I inquired about alternative VCA locations in the area. She says yes there are multiple. I told her Okay well I’ll reschedule with one of them because at this point from the time she spoke her tone was rude and very much lacked empathy. I disconnect Then, I recall she didn’t tell me her name…. So I went in and Upon entering, I politely inquired about the individual who had called me. Corey, speaking in a notably cheerful tone, identified herself as the caller. I subsequently exited. In my car, I accessed my app to reschedule appointments for both my pets at a nearby VCA facility. Notably, I discovered available time slots at 7:00 and 7:20 PM that same day today, which Corey had attempted to reschedule for another day . As you just attempted to argue me down and you have a 7pm. When I informed her that I was making a U-turn into the parking lot of the hospital as someone who would not lack empathy who would’ve informed the patient/customer, Miss Bethea, due to your 10-minute delay, may we adjust your appointment to 7 o'clock today, if that time is suitable for you, keeping in mind our policy regarding the 10-minute grace period. I would not tried to very much point a finger at a patient/customer becoming argumentative.I had previously interacted with Corey, who consistently displayed a highly rude attitude and a condescending manner. I'd like to emphasize that we're living in critical times, and it's essential to be mindful of how we communicate with others, as our words can significantly impact them. Although I was late, my concern lies not with the policy itself, but rather with the manner in which it was conveyed. As a firm believer in the golden rule, I strive to treat others with the same respect and kindness that I expect in return. In this instance, I chose to respond in a more courteous manner than I was initially addressed.
Mar 06, 2025 · Annesty BetheaWe did not have a good experience.Today, due to desperation and bad weather, we got the VCA location wrong (our VCA clinic is Parkway and not this one). We went with our furry baby who was in a lot of pain in his back leg, zero empathy from the team. The girl who speaks Spanish is very kind, but the only thing they offered us was to take him in the afternoon because "it was not an emergency" when obviously our baby was in pain and difficulty in his leg. Did he have to be dying to get checked out?Animals can't tell you how bad they feel and that as dog parents makes us feel much worse, the discomfort and pain were obvious and the solution offered was to wait until 4:30 for his appointment? It wasn't even 8 in the morning. We left with a bad taste in our mouths and we will definitely not return.Thank God we immediately went to VCA Parkway and as always they treated us wonderfully. We recommend VCA Parkway, do not go to VCA Cornerstone.
Aug 08, 2024 · Dilena Alaña HigueraThe team at VCA Cornerstone truly treat you and your pets like family. I met them about 8 years ago after moving here and needed help with my senior dog in his final days. They have truly been incredible over the years as we added more fur babies (and hooman babies) to our pack. They have supported us and have given us the education and guidance necessary to give our fur babies the care they needed. Most recently, we unfortunately had to say goodbye to one of our pack- it was an impossible decision that I would wish on no one. They were so caring, compassionate, reassuring and truly there for us. Things have changed since I said goodbye to my senior dog about 8 years ago, and the recent office renovation includes a comfortable room that looks more like a living room than a dr office. Allowing us to give our final hugs and belly ear scratches before saying goodbye to Wrigley as he crossed the rainbow bridge. Since then our other 2 dogs have been back for their preventive care and dental cleaning. Dr. DeSilvia, Dr.Wahl, Kyleigh, and Caitlin are all incredible. We missed them terribly when we moved to Texas for a couple years before moving back. I cannot recommend them enough! Quality vet care is not cheap, and I truly feel like you get what you pay for- however the care club program makes it much more affordable and easier to budget for the expected and unexpected.
Sep 04, 2024 · Amanda McCannFor the right pet owner this place is great, but isn't a great fit for my family. I have no doubts about the competency or friendliness of the staff at this animal clinic. They are always helpful and kind. They have a lot of cutting edge vet technology and if you've got the money and your pet is your world, this is the place for you. However it does feel like they push these test and treatments as if money is no object. Many of us don't have unlimited budgets and we are more looking for a reasonable treatment cost to benefit ratio. If you just go along with whatever they recommend, while you'll get top notch care you'll be out a good bit of money particularly if dealing with a chronic condition.I'm also dealing with an issue with them where a blood panel was done so we could get a dental cleaning done. At the same visit I picked up a new prescription. Now I'm being notified that I have to redo the blood panel about two weeks later to see how the new medication affects the dog before they can do the dental work. Its frustrating that this wasn't communicated in advance as I would have waited for the dog to be on the meds before doing the blood panel. When asked if we could delay the medicine for 2 weeks till after the cleaning so we wouldn't have to pay for another one, the vet really pushed the medicine hard for a chronic heart condition that the animal currently suffers no ill effects from and we've known about for almost 2 years.Update: After a week, they called and this was resolved to my satisfaction and thank you to their staff. All in all, its a fine clinic medically but I feel that they really go for the most aggressive (and expensive) treatments by default.
