Animal Hospital of Richboro Reviews
Dr stehr is a very good doctor. She is so knowledgeable and really goes the extra mile to help your pet. She knows so much about cutting edge treatments and had a holistic approach to making your pet as healthy and happy as possible. My little cat is so much happier since we went here. When we went in, my old girl was at death do door, and a few days after starting Stehr’s treatment , she was as happy as a kitten. Thank you, Dr. Stehr!
Feb 15, 2025 · M MerrietI took my 6 month old kitten here for a laser declaw. To everyone out there that is against declawing, please understand the difference between traditional and laser. In traditional, they cut the bone and remove parts of the knuckle. The cat is often awake, and given anesthetic injections to reduce the pain. This can cause trauma to cats and I agree is inhumane. Laser declaw is when they put the cat to sleep, and use a laser to singe off the tip of the bone where the talon grows, but leaving the knuckles intact. Both of my cats can still jump well over five feet with no issues. There is a reason why laser declaw is much more expensive than traditional, but 100% humane and safe for the cat. I paid over $1000 for this and getting him chipped. Back to topic, I took Leon here for his surgery, as well as getting chipped. The staff was 100% transparent and professional. They took care of my little guy and made sure everything went well. Apparently because of how loud he was when left alone, they had to keep giving him attention. 🤣🤣🤣 Anyways, I thank the staff and the doctors for doing an outstanding job on my little guy.
Feb 06, 2023 · Gabor BarnaAdopted my cat Hercules from AHR and continue to use them for his vet visits. The ladies who work there are sooo sweet and caring. The adoption process was super easy and I was able to visit Hercules a few times to get to know him before bringing him to his furever home. Now, my little boy is so calm on his vet visits bc he gets to see all his old friends and sometimes some new ones. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a kind environment for their pets!
May 20, 2023 · Tasnima AhsanWe have been coming to the Animal Hospital of Richboro for 15 years when we moved to this area. We are so appreciative for the loving care that was given to our cats from the start of going there to their very end. The front desk staff has always been friendly and caring and the techs, too. When we started taking our oldest cat we had no idea that Dr. Jennifer Kramer was the cat whisperer. When it came to our other cat and we needed to reach the office but it had just closed, Dr. Kramer came back to take care of her in her condition. Our third cat was taken care of mostly by Dr. Jessica Stehr and she, too, received excellent care. When it came towards the inevitable, Jamie and Tom really helped us with their knowledge and empathy. With sincere thanks, Joe and Diane
Jun 07, 2024 · Diane MiccicheWe have been using the Animal Hospital of Richboro for about 12 years for our two mixed rescue dogs (currently 10 & 12), as well as other pets. While we've always been satisfied with their care, our recent experience has been disappointing. One of our dogs requires Apoquel daily for allergies. While it's not the most expensive medication, it adds up, especially after two CCL surgeries last year and another surgery for our other dog. These procedures weren't done at this facility, and while we had no issues with those costs, it made us more budget-conscious.We found that reputable places like Chewy offer Apoquel at lower prices, so we asked Dr. Kramer for a prescription. She charged us $12 to write the script but wouldn’t provide refills, explaining that she prefers to keep business within her pharmacy and had to cover the cost of her prescription pads. Despite supporting her small business, we felt trapped by this policy. When I shared information about Chewy’s sourcing and offered to connect their pharmacy with Chewy, Heather, the office manager, dismissed our concerns and was not pleasant in her communication.I wanted to support Dr. Kramer, especially since we're both Pennsbury alumni, but she never reached out to us personally. I was told she trusts Heather to handle these matters. We decided not to insist on changing her policies and began looking for other local vets.Every vet we contacted offered written prescriptions with refills at no cost, and none were surprised by our reasons for switching. They support the choice to save money where possible, emphasizing flexibility without compromising safety.Ultimately, Dr. Kramer missed the opportunity to keep us as long-term clients by not engaging with us directly. We look forward to our new vet, where patient choices are understood and supported.
