Animal Medical Center offers a comprehensive range of veterinary services designed to meet the health needs of companion animals, primarily dogs and cats. Based on the provided customer feedback, their services aim to provide thorough care from examination to post-procedure follow-up. While a detailed, exhaustive list of every service is best confirmed directly with the clinic, common offerings at such a facility typically include:
- General Wellness and Preventative Care: This is a cornerstone of their practice, encompassing routine physical examinations, age-appropriate vaccinations, and parasite control (for heartworm, fleas, ticks, and intestinal parasites) to ensure pets maintain optimal health and to prevent the onset of common diseases.
- Diagnosis and Treatment of Illnesses: Addressing a wide array of medical conditions, from common infections and dermatological issues to more complex internal medicine cases. This likely involves diagnostic tools to pinpoint the problem.
- Surgical Procedures: Offering various surgical services, which commonly include routine procedures such as spaying and neutering, as well as other soft tissue surgeries necessary for a pet's health.
- Dental Care: Providing professional dental cleanings and potentially extractions to address periodontal disease and promote overall oral health, which is crucial for a pet's systemic well-being.
- Diagnostic Imaging: While not explicitly stated, general veterinary practices often utilize X-rays and potentially ultrasound for comprehensive internal diagnostics.
- Laboratory Services: Likely equipped to perform various in-house blood tests (e.g., CBC, chemistry panels), urinalysis, and fecal exams to aid in quick and accurate diagnoses.
- Follow-up Care and Communication: A notable service highlight from customer reviews is their dedication to keeping clients "well informed though the whole process" and even calling clients at home to "check up on my cats" after procedures, demonstrating a commitment to post-visit care.
- Nutritional Counseling: Guidance on proper diet and weight management tailored to a pet's age, breed, and health condition.
- Microchipping: Providing microchip implantation for permanent pet identification, significantly increasing the chances of a lost pet being reunited with their family.
Animal Medical Center distinguishes itself in the Danville veterinary landscape through several notable features and highlights, as reflected in varied client experiences:
- Friendly and Knowledgeable Staff: Multiple positive reviews consistently highlight the "Very friendly staff" and commend them for being "Very helpful and Knowledgeable." This indicates a welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable and informed.
- Good Customer Service: The clinic receives praise for "good customer service," which includes keeping clients "well informed though the whole process" and providing proactive "check up" calls after procedures. This level of attentiveness demonstrates a commitment to client satisfaction beyond the medical intervention.
- Affordable Pricing for Services: Clients have noted that "The price is great for Service that they provide," suggesting that the clinic offers competitive and reasonable rates for the care delivered, which is a significant advantage for pet owners.
- Post-Procedure Follow-Up: A particularly impressive highlight is their practice of calling clients at home to "check up on my cats" after procedures. This level of post-care diligence shows a genuine concern for the animals' recovery and a commitment to continuity of care.
- Potential for Inconsistent Service/Communication (as per one review): It is important to note a contrasting negative review where a client felt their dog with heat distress was not adequately helped, and they were "pushed out the door," expressing dissatisfaction with the treatment received in a critical situation. This suggests that while many experiences are positive, there might be instances of perceived inconsistency in handling urgent cases or in client communication during high-stress moments.
- Caring for Cats (Specific Highlight): One reviewer explicitly mentioned, "They were very good to my cats," indicating a positive experience for feline patients and their owners.
Prospective clients should weigh these varied experiences, considering the high points of customer service and follow-up, while also being mindful of the importance of clear communication, especially during emergencies.

Dec 29, 2024 · Lisa EasomeIt was horrible. My dog was over heated and having hard time breathing while in there care so they bring him back and said he's pitiful and left the room. Wouldn't you think they woulda tried helping a little?? It's like wewere pushed out the door. I just couldn't believe how we were treated. SMH
Jun 30, 2025 · Charles HammI will never recommend this clinic to anyone again. Seeing that we used this clinic yearly for our 4 animals for the basics and etc, just to be turned down when really needed. We go today with my service animal who ended up with a severe laceration on his foot. He was bleeding out and everywhere and had done lost a ton of blood. The secretary literally goes back and states that since I didn't have his shot record on hand it could be parvo, "after done being told what had happened and what caused the issue" but after coming back out from the back they state the doctor was busy an would be busy for 10-20 minutes. And recommend me to go to one that was over 30 minutes away. Idk but the math didn't add up there. Doctor was busy for up to 20 mins but yet send me to one that far. How do they not have the records for shots that was litterly given there. My dog almost died and they gave no care in the world about it. Didn't offer one bit of help or show any sort of sorrow.
Mar 28, 2025 · Scott JefferyCompletely heartbroken. Took my 3 year old cat in. She had just stopped eating. They claim she had sinus issues and gave her antibiotic shot, pain shot, and fluids. Said she should feel better by the next day. The next day she was worse they couldn’t even see her and then she passed. I fully believe they misdiagnosed my baby girl and now I have 4 grieving children one who was just diagnosed with cancer himself so this was the last thing we needed!
May 29, 2025 · Jessica MejiaThey gave my cat the most up right care I have ever seen was speedy about it to.
