Animal Wellness Center Introduce
For pet owners in Indiana, finding a veterinary practice that truly aligns with your values can be a journey. In Kokomo, the Animal Wellness Center stands out as a unique and comprehensive resource for pet health, offering a rare blend of conventional and holistic care. This practice is more than just an animal hospital; it's a place where the deep bond between humans and their animals is understood and honored. The team, led by Dr. Todd, is dedicated to providing compassionate, professional, and knowledgeable care for a diverse range of pets, from traditional companions like dogs and cats to large animals and even pocket pets. The clinic's philosophy embraces the best of both worlds, recognizing that while traditional medicine is crucial for diagnostics and acute issues, holistic approaches can offer profound benefits for long-term wellness and chronic conditions. This dual-approach is particularly appealing to those in the Indiana community who seek a more integrated and personalized healthcare experience for their furry, feathered, or scaled family members.
The Animal Wellness Center is conveniently located at 2205 S Park Rd, Kokomo, IN 46902, USA. Situated on a main road, the facility is easily accessible for residents throughout Kokomo and the surrounding communities. The facility features a wheelchair accessible entrance, a wheelchair accessible parking lot, and a wheelchair accessible restroom, demonstrating a thoughtful consideration for pet owners with mobility challenges. To ensure that every pet receives the time and attention they need, appointments are highly recommended. This allows the team to manage their schedule effectively and minimize wait times, contributing to a more relaxed and less chaotic environment for both pets and their owners.
The Animal Wellness Center provides a wide array of veterinary services that cater to the diverse needs of the local pet community. What is worth choosing about the Animal Wellness Center is the exceptional level of personalized and compassionate care that is consistently highlighted in customer reviews. A veterinary technician trained at Purdue University, who uses the clinic for her own "fur family," attests to the proficiency of the team in both homeopathy and traditional medicine, recognizing that "there’s room in the industry for BOTH approaches." This professional endorsement speaks volumes about the quality and forward-thinking nature of the practice. Another glowing review from a client who was literally "hesitating to move next year simply because we can't take them with us" powerfully illustrates the deep trust and affection the community has for Dr. Todd and his team. The review of their "struggling kitty" that was sent home "happy and healthy after a long fight" proves that the clinic’s expertise and dedication can make a life-saving difference. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My family and friends have used animal wellness center for all our veterinary and grooming needs over the years. Dr. Todd and his team are always compassionate, caring and professional. They truly go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure our fur family (3 dogs, 2 cats and 2 guinea pigs) are well cared for in preventative care and when sickness strikes. We are so grateful to have a local practice that is proficient in both homeopathy and traditional medicine. As Purdue University trained RVT myself, I can attest there’s room in the industry for BOTH approaches and I LOVE that my field is evolving in each aspect.
August 23 · Danielle NiemanCannot speak highly enough of this vet - we are literally hesitating to move next year simply because we can't take them with us. Dr. Todd is one of the nicest human beings on the planet and his team is amazing. I can't overstate how above and beyond they have gone for us as we've had a struggling kitty the last 6 months. If it weren't for them, she wouldn't be with us, but today she was sent home happy and healthy after a long fight. THANK YOU.
May 02 · Kaydi BrockMy dog looks and smells much better, but I don't know why you didn't do the exam as discussed. I came in with my little dog late May and I talked to 2 different women at the check in and asked that my big boy have an exam done today so that we can get his flea prevention medicine. They both assured me it would happen and the medicine was on sale! Husband picked him up today and it was only $40. It was so cheap because they didn't do an exam and he couldn't get his medicine! Why would you do this?! I don't understand.
June 03 · Marsha MarshDr. Todd and his staff are absolutely the best. After being diagnosed with a grade III heart murmur from our standard vet, I was told my 5 year old anxious/aggressive dog would need to go to a Cardiologist and spend thousands on tests and scans. Skeptical, I did some digging and was recommended to Dr. Todd from a trusted source, even though we are out in Chicago, IL.About a year and a half ago, I set up an initial phone consultation, and was sent some supplements to my house to try to help curb any side effects. When we finally made the 3hr drive out to Animal Wellness Center, the staff was kind and welcoming (even though I almost missed the hour time change) and the space was clean and open. My dog often lunges and barks at strangers, which can lead to stressful vet visits, but Dr. Todd was relaxed and patient enough to make everyone feel at ease.I am happy to report that my dog no longer has the murmur or any other signs of health problems! Combine with training, diet change, and seeing Dr. Todd, this girl is happier and healthier than ever!
May 14 · Katie RedelMy family has always taken our animals to this place. We have pretty much always had a pretty good experience until recently. Some would I guess be my fault because we thought our cat was just being herself and being a loner. We took her in with a cyst on her face in May he took care of it because he said it wasn't cancer. Two months later right before labor day weekend we noticed she lost weight really fast,he said she was dehydrated and her gave her a shot to last her over the weekend and bring her back if not better and we could get labs done on her. We took her back he said that her kidney markers was slightly high but he felt that the dehydration worried him the most. He gave her another shot to last her through the weekend.Mandy handed us a card to call for after hours if something was to happen. I thought that was great.. thought wrong no one returns your calls or even acknowledges you left voice-mails. I feel very let down because that lemon of a Secretary Amber with the nasty attitude and long brown hair. Never passed my message on that it was serious and I needed to speak to someone. She will forever be blamed as A reason why my cat suffered. I called back the next day and finally got the older pleasant Amber and she took care of me and had me on the phone with Mandy quick like. By this time I already knew my baby girl was going to die but no one truly offered any kind of extra care to try and save her. I asked if they could give her iv treatment something. I was told I could bring her in today. She didn't make it long enough today. Today she died 😢 💔 Yes I know death happens but it seems as if Amber is only there for the paycheck. This is not the first time I've had words about her and to her, with all her rude and snooty comments. So this is my message for Dr.Todd and Mandy thank you all for what we did get for Khloey but I have currently backed away from that office because of her attitude and the eye rolling like she is 12. That's why you no longer see charlee for his nail clippings much because he goes to pet supplies plus so my pets and I don't have to deal with her. As for the rest of my furfam I don't know if they will return or not. It doesn't seem like saving a life matters much to this office
