Mar 22, 2025 · Michael RogersMy little Maltese has been a patient of Ark Animal Clinic for over three years. We adore everyone there at Ark and we've always been treated very well. Had a minor issue recently with a cost I felt was somewhat inappropriate for my little 9-pound dog. I brought it to their attention but I certainly didn't expect the swift and exceptional way they "made things right" for me! We were there today for an ear cleaning and they went above and beyond to generously satisfy the issue. I'm very pleased with the special treatment my little dog and I received today, and we will continue to be faithful customers of Ark Animal Clinic and not hesitate to recommend them very highly to others.
May 21, 2025 · Linda A. MartinezI took my dog there after 1-2 years after hearing it was under new management and it’s absolutely the best!!! The staff took their time with my dog which she was very stressed. My dog nala needs surgery and they walked me through everything I will need. Even with advice for financial organization that may be able to help. They truly took time with her. The young gentleman took her back for her nail trim and he was amazing with her. The lady behind the counter was extremely helpful and so kind with helping me on nalas medication and coupons so I could afford. She is wonderful. I definitely will return and suggest this clinic. GREAT experience and GREAT service . Thanks againTammy /nala 🐾❤️
Mar 09, 2025 · Tammy PratherMy best friend Jax and I had an excellent first visit experience at Ark Animal clinic. The staff, tech.’s and vet were very thorough and informative! I’m glad to have found a vet close to home I can trust to give him top notch care and preventive services to keep him healthy!
Feb 07, 2025 · sue BisselleUPDATE: A form of MANGE not cat lice. BEWARE!!!!Booked the appointment on their website but received a call saying they needed to reschedule due the service required (?). Ok fine, no biggie. Wait time; 30-40mins then was put in a room. A very friendly upbeat male tech, in warp speed, checked us in on the computer, weighed my cat, and recommended a test. I verified it would test for feline herpes to which he said yes. The reasons for our visit were: nasal congestion/chest, rabis shot, dry skin after cat lice, and help putting revolution plus on (semi feral). The tech informed me; he'd be getting off soon and another tech would be taking over.Waited another 10-15mins, second tech comes in, female, all business, we review the computer again. As we're talking, she's putting the lid on the cat carrier and starts to leave the room. She finally says, "oh it's just easier this way" without stopping to ask me or explain what will be done. I hand her the revolution plus in the doorway. She seems annoyed. I did feel uncomfortable but was telling myself everything is fine.Dr. Zach and the female tech came in next. He came in wearing a mask and asked me a series of questions about my rescue cat. It felt pretty uncomfortable. He talked so fast I didn't catch everything he said as I was also upset from hearing a dog crying/yelping in the room next door the entire time. There is no sound proofing and very echoey. After he left, it was back to the computer with the tech to discuss finances again. With everything he was recommending my bill was going to be almost $900, I couldn't help but laugh. I said def not, so we got it down to $372.61. Rabies $42, Antibiotic shot $60, dewormer $22 (I’d had the cat for 5mons think I’d know if it had worms), fluids $25, office visit $65 and medical waste charge $8.18 plus the test for $150. (Edit) I was misinformed, this test was not for feline herpes. I was not offered a refund or an alternative test. At this point I'm pretty upset then they return my cat....She was face down in her crate unconscious. I was not asked or informed she'd be put to sleep or sedated and after getting home I realized they cut her nails. I did not ask them to do that either. And after 5 months battling CAT LICE which I only discovered after rescuing her, today she's itching NON-STOP, day and night, again since this visit. If you've never watched a cat suffer with CAT LICE, it's heart breaking. I DO NOT believe the revolution plus was applied that day or she wouldn't be in this state.Lastly, that evening Dr. Zach left a message recommending another test based on our conversation saying she could pass suddenly if not addressed immediately. I chose not to return the call or have the test. My cat is okay. (Every case is diff of course but everything in me said no)Where could they improve? Treat pets in the exam room with their owners. I've never been to a routine vet visit where they took my pet in the back (rescue or not). Plus, it builds trust and relationship for both owner and pet & return clients. And ask & inform. Cleanliness, communication, take more time with the pets & owners together, techs slow down, connect with the pet initially (both Vet & Techs), respect, dignity, and if you mess up - own it and make it right. Prices of some things are high.Unfortunately, after this experience I will not be returning, and I don't recommend. The positives: The front desk staff are GEMS! Very friendly, respectful, considerate, easy to talk to, go above and beyond, great work ethic. Thank you, you're doing an amazing job!! Easy to find, parking is good, can smoke out front, large waiting area.I do think the Dr.'s heart is in the right place and is doing the best he can. Maybe over time these kinks will work themselves out as they are still newly reopened. This was just MY experience as others may go there and have no issues. And maybe I just caught them on a rough day. It isn't for me... Thanks for reading!
