July 23 · crystal liteI typically don’t write reviews, but the recent death of my beloved dog, Blossom, compels me to share my experience with this hospital. On October 17, 2024, at approximately 12:25 PM, I rushed in, distraught and pleading for help after Blossom ingested rat poison. Instead of receiving the urgent care we desperately needed, one of the nurses informed me that they could not assist and that I should go elsewhere.Despite my frantic pleas, they insisted there was nothing they could do for my dog. I was left alone in an empty lobby, crying and holding Blossom until she died at 12:42 PM. It was devastating to witness, especially as the same nurse who told me to seek help elsewhere was later performing CPR on my deceased dog. When my boyfriend arrived, he immediately sought to speak with the manager. He asked why no treatment or injections were administered to Blossom. The manager’s response was that all specialists were busy. When he pressed further, asking if the other patient dogs was dying, the manager replied, “No, but we can’t stop a procedure.” It was clear there was a lack of urgency or compassion in their response.Denise, the nurse, then stated they attempted CPR and wouldn’t charge us for it. I genuinely do not wish harm on anyone, but the lack of action and care shown by this facility is unacceptable. They had an opportunity to save Blossom and failed. I am utterly devastated and urge others to think twice before bringing their pets here. This place should not be operating.
November 13 · Jose SantosYesterday, I found a kitten in my building that was kicked out. Little guy isn’t chipped and not neutered. Took him here to see if he was chipped and he isn’t and asked about the cost to neuter him. The assistant manager informed me neutering would cost $350 and to have vaccines as well would be about $580 in total for both. Got confirmation from both the assistant manager AND the surgeon of this and that it can be done on the same day and best since the kitten is barely a year old, no bloodwork and such was needed. Said I’d sleep on it because this isn’t my cat and wasn’t sure if I was going to keep him to shell out that kind of money but regardless if I was going to keep him or not, little guy needed to get neutered in case I kept him or to make sure he has a better chance at a shelter.Called back this morning around 9:45AM and got someone on the line and asked to confirm the price if I went in today to get the kitten neutered. The woman I got on the phone told me it would cost around $600 to $800 for the neutering alone. Told her that I wasn’t told that when I went in person yesterday. She said I’d have to talk to the assistant manager and I informed her that’s who I spoke to yesterday. She kept giving pushback saying to call on Tuesday (because of Memorial Day) and “have the assistant manager tell me again” despite already having the conversation.Incredibly disappointed by the attitude and service from this phone encounter. Nothing against Erica, the assistant manager, and the surgeon as they tried helping on the spot especially with the concern they showed for this kitten when I went but information needs to be more clear within the staff so stuff like this doesn’t happen.
May 22 · Justin CuevasI love this place, the love and care they show to our pets is genuine. I first started coming to them when my dog was 6 months old and then I moved to Staten Island but I didn’t hesitate to return once I moved back to Manhattan.
March 07 · Stephanie PattersonThis place is the worst, period. Any positive comments must be from friends and family, definitely not regulars. They’re disorganized, not pleasant, they all lack professionalism, and the place looks so dirty. They’re in it for the money not for the love of animals.
