Banfield Pet Hospital provides a comprehensive list of veterinary services for dogs and cats. These services are often categorized under our Optimum Wellness Plans to offer an affordable and proactive approach to healthcare. Our services include:
Preventive Health Services: This includes annual exams, comprehensive exams, routine vaccinations, parasite control, flea and tick prevention, and physical examinations to help maintain your pet's overall health.
Diagnostics: We offer a variety of diagnostic tools such as in-house laboratory services for blood tests and fecal exams, as well as digital radiography and ultrasonography to help diagnose illnesses and injuries.
Surgical Care: Our team is equipped to perform general surgery, including spaying and neutering, as well as minor procedures and mass removals.
Dental Care: We provide comprehensive dental services, including general dentistry, dental cleanings, and digital dental radiology to ensure your pet’s oral health is maintained.
Nutrition and Behavior Counseling: Our veterinarians offer advice on nutrition, special diets, and weight management, as well as behavioral counseling to address common issues.
Additional Services: We offer microchipping for permanent identification, End of Life Care for humane euthanasia, and access to a convenient online pharmacy for home delivery of pet medications and special diets.
Our wide range of services is designed to provide care for your pet throughout their life stages, from a new kitten or puppy to a senior companion.
While a large network offers many benefits, it is worth considering a few key aspects when choosing Banfield Pet Hospital. The structure of the practice, with its focus on wellness plans, provides a clear and consistent pathway for preventive care. The plans can be beneficial for pet owners who want to stay on top of vaccinations, routine check-ups, and other scheduled services at a set monthly cost. The convenience of having an in-house pharmacy and an online pharmacy also makes it easier to get your pet’s necessary medications and foods.
However, it is important to be proactive in your communication with the staff and to follow up on prescriptions and lab results. The nature of a large corporate veterinary chain means that you may not always see the same veterinarian, which can sometimes lead to communication issues. Pet owners should feel empowered to ask questions, request detailed records, and ensure that all their concerns are addressed. The availability of online access to medical records is a valuable tool that you can use to stay informed and on top of your pet’s care.
For appointments or more information about our services, please feel free to contact us. Our address is 860 Cobb Pl Blvd NW Ste 300, Kennesaw, GA 30144, USA. You can reach our office by phone at (770) 430-3109. While you can call to book an appointment, we highly recommend utilizing the online portal for convenient scheduling.
Choosing a veterinary provider is a deeply personal decision, and it is important to find a practice that aligns with your needs and expectations. Banfield Pet Hospital in Kennesaw provides a structured and comprehensive approach to pet care that is particularly well-suited for owners who value preventive health services and the convenience of a larger, interconnected network. The Optimum Wellness Plans are a strong selling point, offering a predictable way to budget for routine care. However, it is essential for pet owners to be diligent and proactive in their communication to ensure a smooth experience. By staying engaged and utilizing the resources available, you can ensure your pet receives the care it needs. While past experiences from some customers highlight the importance of careful management and communication, the framework of our services, including the online pharmacy and pet records, offers a clear path for engaged pet owners to take control of their pet's health.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I have been a part of the Banfield healthcare plan for more than a decade and I am very disappointed. The quality of care has dropped significantly at this Banfield Kennesaw branch. Having a beloved dog dependent on pain medication and a special diet is always concerning for any pet owner. It's extremely frustrating when repeatedly I have to "hound" the staff and doctors to make sure that they have the medications in stock, correct their mistakes when they write the wrong prescriptions, and to respond to my pet pharmacy when the pharmacy staff have reached out to them days prior! They need better management!
August 01 · Dr David, PhDI’m extremely disappointed with the care my dog received. We brought him in on Sunday for a routine visit, and they assured us he was fine. However, shortly after, he started peeing blood and having diarrhea. When I called back with these alarming symptoms, they diagnosed him with a UTI—acting surprised that no one mentioned anything about it during our visit, despite having blood test results that already showed signs of infection. This is unacceptable. If they had properly reviewed his test results and informed us earlier, we could have started treatment sooner and spared my dog unnecessary discomfort. I trusted them to provide thorough and attentive care, but instead, I was given misleading reassurance. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone.
March 25 · Nathalie HurtadoThis is such a disappointment for what was once an amazing hospital. Stopped by to get a prescription food card as I needed it to buy food from petsmart. It took half an hour to get that printed and handled even with there being no other pets or owners present. Also tried to purchase First Shield trio, which is approved for over the counter sales at other locations and was told I would have to pay an office visit fee to be able to get it. This I verified several times with the receptionists that she was certain I had to have an office exam for this product before contacting corporate office and other locations to inquire about them product. There is no logic to charging an office visit for a flea medicine. I wonder what other additional random fees they add on with services
May 28 · Crystalrose TThis group of vets and vet techs are exceptional. They care about every pet that comes in. The customer service goes above and beyond. I have been a customer of Banfield for over 10 years in California and Georgia and Banfield of Kennesaw has the best staff around. My Yorkie attended a Banfield in Smyrna and before I had to put my dog down due to old age, seizures, arthritis, and bone spurs I was not happy with the responses to my questions that the vets were giving me. So before I got my new puppies I began looking for a new vet. Even though there are two Banfield locations closer to me, I am so greatful to the Kennesaw location, my new puppies, Willow and Prince, and I are soooo very happy. We are Banfield of Kennesaw patients for life.Thank you to all of the staff for making our transition so wonderful. From day one we felt the love ❤️ you all share for our fur babies.
September 11 · Mell TMy children and I spent over an hour in the waiting room with our new puppy before I finally got up and walked out. We never saw or spoke to anyone other than reception. We have used Banfield in the past (when we lived in North Carolina) and had a good experience but this location (Kennesaw) is terrible. No one acknowledged the ridiculous wait or let us know why we were still waiting so long. Despite the fact that we had an appointment, Pets arrived after us and got treated in front of us. In the end, we opted for a more expensive local vet who actually knows how to schedule and maintain appointments. No one has time to sit in a vet’s office for hours!
