I scheduled an appointment online for my cat, who was showing urinary issues—a medical concern that shouldn’t be taken lightly. I received a confirmation email, took time off work, and drove 30 minutes from Gilbert with my family, only to be told there was no record of the appointment.The front desk staff member we encountered was shockingly rude, completely unprofessional, and had zero empathy for our situation or for my cat. Her exact words were: “I’m in charge of online scheduling, and there’s no way that came through.”Her attitude was dismissive and cold. She should be nowhere near animals or their owners. Someone lacking this much compassion and basic decency has no place working in a setting where people bring their pets in distress.They claim that urinary issues must be seen in the morning—but if that’s the case, why does their system allow you to book other times and even send email confirmations? This level of disorganization, combined with the rudeness and lack of accountability, caused us not only to waste our time and fuel, but also to lose income from time off work.If you value your pets and your peace of mind, go somewhere else. This clinic doesn’t deserve your trust or your business.

We've had good experiences in the past, and still do most of the time, especially in regards to being worked in on short notice which I really do appreciate. I do think their customer service could use some work. My dog is reaching end of life and other than Dr. Jermansky I do not feel they have been very compassionate as we try to figure out what can keep my dog comfortable until her quality of life is no longer.

I didn’t think much of it and I said I’ll just grab it online.Well, you have to have the code from the receipt to pull it up online, so I never was able to see the findings of the vet visit/bill.The doctor was very nice and the follow up the next day was very professional and appreciatedI just didn’t like the practice and having to drop off my dog and not being able to go with her

They have reasonable communication with owners and I am able to speak with the doctor directly after each visit. My cat has been unable to complete all of his check-up bloodwork due to lack of supply in their lab. Instead of informing me of this issue prior to the appointment, my cat sat through an appointment and they did not do any bloodwork on him. I was told at pickup he will need to return to finish his annual check-up. My cat could have been rescheduled instead of sitting anxiously in this appointment.

Banfield vets did not diagnose oral cancer that, within seconds of seeing his mouth a second vet was able to immediately diagnose 2 weeks after he was seen by Banfield2. Unnecessary multiple tooth extractions were performed on our cat who had high risk for being put under. The services performed cost thousands of dollars, AND3. The surgery was both unnecessary disabled our little buddy from being able to eat very easily, which shortened the time that we had with him and made his last days painful, AND4. I was promised he would be under only a couple of minutes, which would minimize the risk to his heart (he had an enlarged heart and bad heart murmur) and instead was under at least half an hour.5. After the surgery, my kitty wouldn't warm up because his bladder was full and he wouldn't pee in anything but a litter box, which they didn't have. They didn't check his bladder until several hours AFTER, and only when my husband told them to check his bladder. They emptied it, and he warmed up, but his personality/brain didn't return back to normal for the remaining time we had with him.6. When I (repeatedly) called after the surgery to get help on how to get my kitty to eat, they blew me off and said 'just get him to eat more' and 'try not feeding him throughout the day'. And yet, when we went to see the second vet, she gave him a medicine that would make him hungry enough to get past the difficulties of his mouth AND pain medication, and he was immediately able to recover some of the weight he had lost from starvation7. I raised this concern to Banfield, along with the timeline and events, and all I got was a couple of calls saying how sorry they were that I went through this. No evidence over a month later of them changing anything about their practice or reprimanding vets or anything.I will never, ever take any of my animals to Banfield again, I would recommend no one else do so either.
