Banfield Pet Hospital Reviews
If I could give zero stars I would. The "doctor", if you can even call her that, Dr. Padgett was awful. My dog was having some concerning symptoms and when I called in on Friday 5/16/2025, I was advised to take her to an ER vet. Upon our visit with the ER vet, it was discovered that she had a mass in her spleen, and we needed to follow up with our Primary vet, Banfield.I called Banfield, the same day, and was advised that they did not have the ability to do an ultrasound on sight, and I was told to call another local ER Vet office that could.I went to that office, Monday 5/20/2025, and had the ultrasound done with labs done on the mass as well.I was advised again that my primary vet (Banfield) would need to go over these results with me.Fast forward to today, Wednesday 5/21/2025, Dr. Padgett advised me that she would not be able to interpret these tests as she did not refer me to the ER Vet office. She then went on to say that I did an outpatient appointment, which was "different", and she would not be able to go over the results. She did mention that maybe I could find another doctor that would go over them with me, but she wouldn't. Upon asking her what I needed to do to find out what was going on with my dog, she simply told me she didn't know -- which in itself is completely incompetent and even more so, AWFUL patient care. How are you the "doctor" and you do not know what to do with my dog?? -- She left me with no answers and more questions. Also, I would like to add that the "doctor" refused to go over the results, but upon leaving, the receptionist (a doll btw - didn't get their name though) provided me with all the records that were sent to the Banfield office from every ER visit. I was able to see the results of all the test, which means that "doctor" Padgett just didn't want to read and explain to me what was going on. Really great Padgett, thanks for nothing.I can only assume that "doctor" Padgett gets a kick back from referrals, and that's why she refuses to treat the animals whose owners do outpatient appointments instead. My advise, if you have an animal that needs actual care, do not see Padgett, she will refuse to help you.And if you are wondering, I have removed my dogs from Banfield, and I will never be going back to another again. The communication is non-existent, and the doctor there is incompetent.Absolute NIGHTMARE.If you were wondering, I was able to transfer my dogs to another vet (Freeland Animal Hospital), and in the time it took me to drive from my house to the 86th street Banfield location, which is 35 minutes away to be exact, Freeland had called the ER Vet, got the records, and called me with a patient care plan, and next steps.Do not go to this location if you can help it -- or never, and I do mean never, see Dr. Padgett.
May 21, 2025 · Emma HoseiI don’t know what the issue at this hospital is but they have the worst customer service I have ever seen at a vet. This vet doesn’t even want to see my dog unless she is sedated. They have absolutely no patience when it comes to dogs..I was told to drop of my dogs pee sample for them to test since they didn’t have time to see her… they lost her sample. So after I took time out of my day to take the pee there, they couldn’t even do their job.I’ve cancelled her plan with Banfield and would not recommend ANYONE go to this Banfield

Feb 13, 2025 · Mica GosnellThey need to replace Dr. Padgett with a competent vet. My pets will not see her again. The other staff are wonderful though.
