- If I could give a sliver of a star I would, or none at all. 2yrs ago my cat was brought in for a spay. Instead if making a small incision on her belly, she was cut from rib cage to genital. Thats not the half if it, then when returning home with her, she was consistently crying and wanting us to look at her belly. She had two areas where the stitches blew out, not once three times. The clinic was not clean and smelled. Never have I experienced a vet do unclean. He had no regards to how she felt and just kept stitching her up. The third time he stitched her up, she looked at mother and just cried. Like "help me!" She didn't fight him, he strapped her legs up. Figured she was in to much pain to fight. She was in so much pain I took her to another vet that was disgusted at his work. They immediately gave her IV and pain medication and went to do surgery all over again. She was in so much distress and had to have extra skin removed from her belly that she needed serious recovery time. They did inform us that we may lose her, but she pulled through. She is alive and well today, however the ramifications of the mad scientist surgical work; she will need again in a few years to remove the masses of scare tissue off her belly. What is so horrifying if this whole thing is; the incision only needed to be 2-3in long in her belly. Not from her rib cage to genitals. She was a large cat.I would NOT by any circumstances recommend this vet. Please take your large and small animals, somewhere else.I am internally grateful of the vet clinic in Hastings Ne. Clean, reasonable, well operated establishment. December 16 · Isa
