My wife and I highly recommend this clinic. Dr. Burkey, his wife, and staff took great care of our dog Bentley for 14 years until he took his last breath. We could not have asked for any better care. They made us feel like part of their family. We are 100% confident they will take good care of your animal as they all did for ours. Awesome clinic! Thank you very much, guys.

Dec 05, 2018 · Lindsay LoveringI called and made an appointment last week for this week. My appointment was yesterday. When I initially called, my kitten was 11 weeks old. I had told them I wanted my kitten microchipped and they informed me that they can only do it if I also get an exam and said it would be $105 for the exam and microchip. So that's what I accounted for.I made it clear that I didn't even really want the exam, but will go ahead since it's required for the service I wanted. I was told the exam consisted of first round of shots. It should have been on file that I was only there for exam and microchip. At the appointment, they said they were gonna do exam, distemper, microchip.I did not know distemper wasn't part of the exam. They asked me if it was my fist time at the vet and I said yes.Why did they just add something extra to do when that's not what I asked for? It's like they knew she would be 12 weeks on the appointment and decided on their own to add the distemper because she's old enough now when that's not what I wanted. So it ended up being $161. $56 MORE than what I was told because they took it upon themselves to add something that they wanted to add when I didn't ask for that! When the vet came in the room, he didn't introduce himself and his whole tone and demeanor came off not friendly as well as the other lady that came in who I assume was his assistant? No idea because she didn't introduce herself either and was also equally as rude as the man. Very unfriendly people.I had plans to take my other kitten there for the same services but I will not be returning there period. I don't like being lied to or dealing with unfriendly/unwelcoming staff. Not everyone can afford to have all these extra services added. I feel like they took advantage of the fact that I had never been there before and made decisions that I didn't approve beforehand.
Jun 28, 2024 · Kiersten HarveyDr Burkey is hands down the best Dr my Amadeus has ever seen. He is compassionate, knowledgeable and honest. He ( not his receptionist )but Dr Burkey personally has called me with information regarding my boy. When I take Amadeus to see him, he gets down on the floor with him and takes his time and is very thorough with his examination. My husband has been taking his pets to Burkey for over 20 years and never once had anything negative to say. I will recommend Dr Burkey to anyone that will sit long enough to listen. Your pets are in good hands with him and his team. I have read reviews about him saying that they just want to make money, well I can say that without any reservations that couldn’t be further from the truth. I have been told a few times now not to spend your money on this or that when it wasn’t needed. So bottom line is if he just wanted money he would of ran any test or treatment I asked for and he didn’t. You can trust his word and he will do the very best that he can for your loved ones. Amadeus is proof of that! Dr Burkey thank you for all you do for your patients, you are the best!
Feb 16, 2022 · Catherine WaldschmidtI am not sure why Bermuda Hundred Animal has such lowratings. The care my dog and cat had here was super. The staff was very knowledgeable. The vets were terrific. I felt comfortable bringing my babies there. I have boarded my cat, and she had to take medicine. Many places would not take cats. Both of my animals had to be put down when the time had come . Very compassionate and caring. I would definitely recommend Bermuda Hundred Animal Hospital.
