Bond Vet - Garden City offers a broad and comprehensive range of both primary and urgent veterinary care services, designed to meet diverse pet health needs for dogs and cats. Their services include:
- Wellness & Preventative Care: This is a core offering, encompassing annual exams, tailored vaccination protocols (including Rabies, Distemper, Parvovirus, etc.), and preventative treatments for fleas, ticks, and heartworms.
- Urgent Care: They are equipped to handle those "uh-oh moments" when a pet seems off and needs immediate veterinary attention that isn't a life-threatening emergency (which would typically go to a 24/7 emergency hospital). They treat cases like stomach issues, minor injuries, and sudden lameness.
- Diagnostic Services: The clinic has on-site diagnostic equipment, including digital X-ray, lab services for blood work, and medication, allowing for quick and accurate diagnoses.
- Dental Care: They have a dedicated dental suite for professional teeth cleanings, oral exams, full-mouth radiographs, scaling, polishing, and extractions for unhealthy teeth.
- Surgical Procedures: They offer routine and specialty surgeries, including spays, neuters, and mass removals.
- Microchipping: Essential service for pet identification and recovery if a pet gets lost.
- Virtual Visits (Telehealth): For convenience, pet parents can book telehealth visits to chat with one of their vets from the comfort of their home, expanding access to care.
- Prescription Medication: They can dispense necessary medications directly from the clinic.
Bond Vet - Garden City distinguishes itself through several modern features and patient-centric highlights that significantly enhance the veterinary experience:
- Modern, Welcoming Clinic Design: The office is consistently described as "clean and very modern," designed to feel "warm and welcoming." Features like comfortable furniture, soothing lighting, and even "Treat Yourself" dog treat bars contribute to a less stressful environment for both pets and people, making it feel "very much like a living room as opposed to a more sterile medical facility."
- Easy & Fast Appointments: The clinic offers "same-day appointments," with the ability to book online, and prides itself on taking clients "in right away," significantly reducing the stress and inconvenience of long waits.
- Highly Compassionate and Skilled Staff: Numerous reviews praise the staff and veterinarians for being "so nice and thorough," "very kind and friendly," and showing "genuine support and love for animals." Dr. Alvarez, for instance, is highlighted for her "level of expertise" and ability to put even usually scared dogs "immediately at ease."
- Low-Stress and Fear-Free Handling: The team prioritizes low-stress and gentle handling techniques, which is evident in testimonials about anxious pets being surprisingly calm during their visits. They practice "fear-free medicine."
- Transparent and Affordable Pricing: Clients appreciate that Bond Vet is "not overpriced like so many other places," offering "transparent pricing for various options for care," and will help with "pet insurance claims." This addresses a common concern for pet owners.
- Tech-Enabled Convenience: The use of an intuitive mobile app for booking appointments, viewing medical records, and messaging veterinarians streamlines the entire process, catering to the modern pet owner.
- Comprehensive Primary and Urgent Care: The ability to handle both routine wellness and unexpected "uh-oh moments" under one roof provides continuity of care and a reliable resource for various needs.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Great expertise Bond Vet GC! My dog was wincing in pain and I didn’t know what was wrong. I googled them and when you click book now there was an appointment same day! I uploaded all my info beforehand and they took me in right away. Everyone was so nice and thorough. My dog is usually scared and not that nice with new people and he was great! I was so surprised! I would definitely recommend them and will be switching over to them as my primary Vet!
February 25 · Tara McCartonMy 10 year old female pit-bull and we have been visiting Bond Vet now for about one year now. She loves it there especially the treats :) and we both like Dr Alvarez who is very kind and friendly. I also like her level of expertise. Bond Vet is not overpriced like so many other places that I’ve been to in the past. I am confident that my Pity will continue being a permanent patient of Bond Vet..Lastly, the office is clean and very modern. Thank you!
April 18 · M AsinghI've been bringing my pets to Long Island Animal Hospital for years, and I couldn’t be happier with the care they receive. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the office is consistently clean and well-organized. The veterinarians—especially Dr. K—are incredibly kind, compassionate, and attentive. They never rush through appointments and always take the time to answer all of my questions, no matter how small. It’s clear that they genuinely care about the animals and the people who love them. I trust them completely and highly recommend this practice any pet owner.
May 12 · Sheryl GDr Vecchione is inappropriate, unprofessional and unqualified vet.I have been bringing my pet here for couple years now and dr lauren is hands down an amazing vet. Her replacement Dr Vecchione is however unqualified to be a vet, and should be kicked out from bond vet immediately.1. The nurse took his temperature, heart rate etc and my cat was so relaxed. However Dr.Vecchione denied to do an exam on my cat saying he looks unfriendly even though my cat was calm and quiet.2. Dr. Vecchione did NOT read the notes from nurse or even ask any symptoms from me before giving her diagnosis. She made assumptions and kept telling me that i have to get an xray and full blood work otherwise she cant do anything.3. I informed her of my cats history and symptoms, while she lied there were any previous records of my cat. The nurse found them on the system for her.4. Dr vecchione acted extremely rude, inappropriate and unfriendly towards both me and my cat, interrupted me frequently and literally rolled her eyes and made faces when I asked her a simple question about medication she was giving my cat.Unfortunately i would not be coming to Bond vet anymore. I am absolutely fumbled to find unethical and unprofessional service after paying 100s of dollars at this Vet clinic.
July 05 · Maha MalikMy wife and I just switched our 3 dogs to Bond. Dr. Alvarez saw them all today as was so amazing. We have a 130lb cane corso and she was on the floor w. him loving on him. She was not nervous or scared @ all. She gave him such a thorough physical exam. she was so loving towards the other two as well. It was such a breath of fresh air to see a vet that cares so much and gives them all such great individual attention.
