★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I recently got my dog spayed and the incision is perfect. Beautifully done. The veterinarian and nurses were so sweet and I automatically knew my dog was in good hands. I'm so glad I picked Bullitt county veterinary Center to be my dog primary veterinary.
June 29 · Crystal McKinneyThe team and Vets are so good to my fur baby, Gracie. I like the Vet Text feature that allows me to send a quick question or to see if I can squeeze Gracie in for a nail trim. They give you appointment cards to remember what vaccinations are due. They carry most medicines needed at the facility. They also provide boarding for your pets. I’m satisfied with everything they do.
January 06 · Rachael Gaylord Cargill0 if I could. Front desk is usually friendly. Loved Amy. Was seen on Friday the 21st of February. The female vet told me my pit who just turned 4 on the 16th, that she had bronchitis. They did bloodwork and chest x-rays. Sent us home with antibiotics, steroids and a cough suppressant. They administered some medication into her sedation iv because she doesn’t like to be messed with. So I suggested sedation. She seemed to be feeling somewhat better Saturday and Sunday morning. Sunday afternoon she started refusing to eat and drink again. Her breathing and cough had gotten worse. While in the car to the ER vet, she started foaming at the mouth. Some blood too. They took her straight back. An hour and a half later, the vet comes in and tells us it’s not bronchitis, she was in heart failure. They misdiagnosed my girl, she went untreated for 2 more days with the wrong medication. I was told the chances she could make it was slim to 0. She had so much fluid around her heart. I had to make the choice to put her to sleep in a matter of minutes. She was suffering. She couldn’t breathe, coughing up blood. Want to talk about the most painful thing, there it was.My 13yr old daughter was with me. She also had to hear that what was best for our girl was putting her down peacefully. When they brought her to the room for us to visit her before putting her down, I literally felt like my heart was being ripped out. I have never felt more disgust from a place of business than I am with Bullitt County Vet.My girl may be alive if they diagnosed her correctly. They’ll be getting a call from the board, and maybe my attorney for malpractice.
February 25 · Tara GI called to ask about my furbabies to be fixed and the lady who answered the phone had the nastiest attitude. I get you gotta ask questions but there's a way to ask without being rude and sounding like it's a nuisance that I called. I just hung up and went with someone else. If you can't talk to your customers decently over the phone I don't trust you to take care of my babies.
March 14 · Marie SmithAmy at the desk is great. She is super sweet and great with my dog.Maybe the owners don't like large dogs or just the breed of dog I have. Both times we have been there, they were very standoffish with him and me. Today we go for a vaccination and a heartworm check. They had him back there without me for over 30 minutes and then male doctor comes back and said they literally did nothing to him because he was "too stressed out". Then we I say something about their attitude they want me to leave. Which was fine because I had already decided I would not be back to them. But then expected me to pay for them keeping me and my dog there for over 45 minutes and then didn't even do anything?? What about my time and my dog's stress that THEY caused him?? If they were all as friendly and as great with the pets as Amy, then they would be amazing. I know they are running a business but why work with animals if you can't even act like you like them? Or just say upfront you don't deal with a certain breed or size?
