★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dr. Stone was great, very caring and compassionate. Our 18 year old cat (Mr Binks) had oral cancer. He had lost half his body weight. He needed help crossing the Rainbow Bridge. The whole staff was very kink and caring. Thank you all with your help in this very difficult time. God bless you.
July 18 · Garry WrightSay hello to Muffins, after visiting Dr. Stone @ Shepherdsville Animal Hospital, I can happily say she is healthy, vaccinated, and scheduled to be fixed soon. Dr. Stone is incredibly kind, thoroughly addressed my concerns, and even gave Muffins treats to take home. Short wait time (though I scheduled an appointment,) clean, and all Dr. Stone’s staff were polite, and so wonderful. The price I paid for all services DID NOT break the bank either. Take your fur babies here, it’s right off the Shepherdsville Exit from I-65! Thank you Dr. Stone and Associates! We will be back for my cat’s health care.
February 07 · TarrenceWe brought our first baby Turbo to Dr Stone , he's always good with him , now he's passed so we're bringing our new baby Sadie to see him . She will get spaded this coming Monday 😊 staff is always so friendly as well
April 05 · Lisa WilesThe situation was sad. Are cat wasn't feeling well and looked really bad, and found out while we were there that she had kidney failure. So unfortunately we had to make a tough decision to help her pass peacefully. The staff were very sympathetic and helped with the process. They gave a sympathy card for the passing of our fur baby, clippings of prefer, and even took prints of her paws and her nose for us. Pricing that was very reasonable. Actually thought it was going to be a lot more. The help they provided, helped with the grief greatly. I highly recommend this animal hospital to anyone with fur babies. I will be making appointments for my other two fur babies for their continued Care. I fully trust them.
June 01 · Crystal Conrad (Lady TopCat)I started taking my first Dachshund to Dr. Stone some 12-14years ago now and I have recommended them numerous times in the past as I considers him a “common sense Dr.”. One that when my dogs needed teeth cleaning and they found one to sometimes several need to be pulled they did it without additional charges. That was then and now here we are.On 7/17/25, I brought in one of now 3 Dachshund’s for his teeth cleaning. Check in went fine and a couple hours later my baby was readyUpon picking up my baby he was to be given an antibiotic and this is where things when south. The young girl at pick up forgot to give me the antibiotic medicine. With paying the current rate of $304.50 for dogs under 80lbs, mine is 13lbs and gathering up the paperwork and my baby o forgot as well. Fast forward 45 minutes later and I’m almost home I realized that I didn’t have his medication and called the office. I spoke to the same girl that had checked me out and explained that I didn’t have his medicine her response was yes I said he would be on antibiotics but then forgot to give it to you. I asked to refund the medicine and call into Kroger or a local vet so I could pick it up. Her response was you can come back and get it or we can mail you a paper prescription which I asked ok how long will that take to get to me and was told 5-7 days!! Well that won’t work I said because what good would it do at that point. I asked to speak to Dr. Stone about this and was told he was out for the day and would be in on Friday,July 18. I asked again to have it antibiotic called in to my local Kroger pharmacy or a local bed and was told the the office manager said it would be against their policy to call it in!!Even after their mistake they well unwilling to remedy the situation. I took care of this by a visit to a local veterinarian. I have to reach Dr. Stone to discuss this matter and was told he may get back with you today. Unacceptable!!Follow-up, I received a call back from the Office manager to apologize and now offered to call in the antibiotic to my local Kroger pharmacy. This was a bit too late and should have been resolved yesterday. End result is a 12-14 year business relationship has ended and poorly. Bottom line is if you have this issue again I suggest you make a change in your office policy and make simple accommodations. I get you want to sell the medicine and profit from it but when your employees mess up handle it without hassle. As a veterinary Dr. is great it’s just staff and policy why I can’t return or recommend.
