Good Shepherd Veterinary Hospital - Broken Arrow Introduce
For pet owners across the Broken Arrow, Oklahoma area, Good Shepherd Veterinary Hospital on North 9th Street is renowned as a trusted partner in providing comprehensive and compassionate animal healthcare. As both an Animal Hospital and a full-service Veterinarian clinic, they are dedicated to supporting the well-being of dogs and cats from the beginning of life to the very end. The clinic distinguishes itself through its blend of high-quality Medical Diagnostics And Treatment with genuine, unhurried care, ensuring that every pet and their human companion feels heard and respected.
The core of the Good Shepherd philosophy, consistently reflected in local reviews, is a profound commitment to compassion. Customers frequently highlight the staff's dedication, not just in medical treatment, but in providing emotional support during difficult times, such as the loss of a beloved pet. The attention to detail—like sending personalized condolences and paw or nose prints—demonstrates a service level that goes above and beyond routine veterinary practice, making them a true family vet for the community.
Good Shepherd Veterinary Hospital is equipped to handle a wide spectrum of health needs, from routine Pet's Vaccinations and preventative measures to complex Veterinary Surgery and intensive care. They maintain an Idexx Diagnostic Laboratory on-site, allowing for swift and accurate testing. While they are a primary care facility offering Emergency Veterinarian Service and urgent care during business hours, it is important for Broken Arrow residents to note that for after-hours critical emergencies, the staff will provide referrals to local 24-hour emergency centers, as their main operating hours are Monday through Friday, with limited Saturday hours.
It is important to clarify that while the provided information indicates a capability for 'Exotics Medicine and Surgery' and 'Exotic animals,' one of the hospital's locations (specifically the Broken Arrow one) focuses its daily practice on the care of cats and dogs only. This targeted approach allows the Broken Arrow team to be highly specialized in the most common companion animals in the area.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- To say that I love this place would be a severe understatement. I’ve been taking my dogs here for several years and have had nothing be great interactions every single time. Recently we had to put down one of our dogs and they were the absolute best people to help my sweet boy cross the rainbow bridge. The doctor and assistant were the absolute sweetest and helped us through the whole process. Now when I say they go above and beyond I truly mean they do. We got a condolences card in the mail from them and they surprised us with ink prints of our sweet boys nose and paws. When I tell you I was blown away that’s an understatement. I immediately started bawling and can not thank them enough for that amazing memory that I didn’t know I would get. If you are looking for a new Vet you’ve found it here! From beginning of life to the end they are right there loving and caring for your sweet baby just as much as you. Thank you Good Shepherd! June 14 · Alex
- I love this animal hospital. I would trust either location with my animals. They have the nicest staff, always kind and understanding. I mainly use the Jenks location and absolutely love Dr. Murray. They take their time with you and listen to your concerns. You never feel rushed.Highly recommend!!!I am sure going to miss them when we moved back to Mississippi. March 28 · candace johnson
- The staff and Veterinarian were polite and professional. They cared for Max's health and treated me with respect, I appreciated the clean and sanitary clinic. I do recommend the Good Shepherd Veterinarian Clinic to both family and friends July 31 · Brian Blocker
- I want to give a huge thank you to the entire team at Good Shepherd, especially our tech and Dr. Hink! Even the receptionists were incredibly kind and patient—I talked to them multiple times yesterday trying to figure out the best plan for my dog and whether she needed to be seen urgently. We originally had an appointment for Wednesday, May 8, but they worked with me to move it earlier. After some back and forth, we were able to get in Tuesday, May 7, at 8 a.m. They made the whole process feel so much less stressful. Everyone I spoke with was helpful, sweet, and so understanding of all the questions I had.Thank you for being so caring and gentle with my sweet girl. I'm truly grateful we chose Good Shepherd as our vet! May 06 · Ana Avila
- Speaking to reception on the phone, first impressions are everything. They were very kind, compassionate, and helpful. The tech that came in before the Doctor was so very sweet and helpful. Dr. Rivers was so kind and went above and beyond. She is very knowledgeable and I am very thankful to have found her! Very clean and well kept facility. I’m truly grateful to have found Good Shepard Veterinary Clinic. June 19 · Jillian Leigh Leverett
