Apr 09, 2023 · Sharon LeVineI appreciate and understand the importance of this business and this service, and I know they are probably overworked, overwhelmed and underpaid. That being said, my experience with the clinic was overall not great. I have a little bit of grace because I know it’s a public service but there were multiple things that I did not like with the CLINIC, the shelter is amazing and they are doing their absolute best.First, I was very anxious to take my dog back for his neuter, I was afraid he would be scared and confused as to why I was bringing him back and was hoping that a friendly initial encounter would help me feel better. Well, we had a puppy incident yesterday where my dog somehow got past TWO barriers and overate like a pound and a half cat food in addition to an incident where we had to go to the emergency Vet last week, we are still trying to learn this dog and his triggers and limits. I shared this upon intake to make sure that it wouldn’t effect my boy during surgery hoping that the receptionist would at least make a note of it and they could be aware he may have GI upset and be ready for it if it were to happen. Not only did she not make note of it, but she made condescending remarks about my training and choices when both incidents were simply accidents that happen with a young dog and new pet parents. I left feeling like a terrible pet owner despite me doing the best that I can.Fast forward, my pup had a big bout of diarrhea, they must have left him in the crate with it for an extended period of time because he came back to me covered in caked on, dried, stinking, poop, and I can’t bathe home properly for 10 days. Not to mention that while she wasn’t outwardly mean, the receptionist at discharge was not really pleasant. I’d give her like a 2/5 for bedside manner. When I finally got home I looked at my dog’s prescription for Doxycycline and the prescription portion on the bottle and the one on the discharge forms DID NOT MATCH. They put the wrong prescription amount on the bottle. Which is SUPER NOT OKAY.I feel bad writing a bad review but I feel like my visit had enough bad aspects to it that I had to make one.
