- Wellness and Preventative Programs: This forms the cornerstone of proactive pet health. They offer care for pets through all stages of life, promoting responsible pet ownership. During wellness exams, they provide heartworm testing, vaccinations, deworming, flea and tick prevention, and preventative lab work to ensure overall well-being.
- Digital Radiography (X-rays): Their digital radiography machine provides quick and clear X-ray images, essential for emergency cases and aiding in diagnosing conditions. Radiographs assist veterinarians in identifying fractures, internal bleeding, foreign objects, chronic arthritis, and much more. This process is non-invasive and can often be done the same day.
- Ultrasound Diagnostics: Utilizing ultrasound technology, their veterinarians and technicians can monitor patients during pregnancy, detect abnormalities, diagnose forms of cancer, and perform various other detailed internal examinations.
- Surgery: Chatham Veterinary Service performs a wide range of surgical procedures, along with pre-operative and post-operative management. They offer routine spay/neuters and mass removals, as well as more extensive operations like orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries. Surgeries are typically scheduled for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
- Dental Care: Recognizing the importance of oral health, they offer comprehensive dental services. During yearly exams, teeth and gums are examined, and recommendations may be made for dental cleanings or extractions. They also provide guidance on maintaining a good dental hygiene routine for your pet.
- In-Clinic Diagnostics: With their ability to perform in-clinic diagnostics, they can treat patients more timely. Result times may vary depending on the type of tests being run. For additional or extensive testing, they partner with Idexx laboratories, ensuring accurate and comprehensive results.
- General Medical Care: Diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions affecting pets.

Apr 02, 2025 · C StephensAlways had good experiencesb@ Chatham vet. Mistakenly left poor rating on their site. Meant for Hope Crossing Vet. Did a thorough exam on my dog but could find nothing to explain his condition. Gave him some fluids & an Antibiotic injection. He rallied a bit. Took him home to continue fluids & antibiotic therapy but Hope Crossing called animal control welfare check before we could even get in the house. Pissed me off royally after spending $800 on the exam. But alas . Apparently his immune system appeared to be compromised & despite the fluids & antibiotics Doc Houser suggested. He passed peacefully in his sleep Chatham vet couldn't see him they were booked solid. Always had good experiences there
