While specific detailed lists of services are typically found directly on a clinic's website or by calling, a reputable veterinary hospital like Cheltenham Animal Hospital generally provides a comprehensive range of essential healthcare services for pets. Based on common practices and client reviews, their services likely include:
Comprehensive Wellness and Preventive Care: This includes routine physical examinations, age-appropriate vaccinations to protect against common diseases, and parasite control programs (for fleas, ticks, and heartworm). Nutritional counseling and general health assessments are also standard.Diagnostic Services: To accurately identify health issues, clinics typically offer various diagnostic tools. This often includes in-house laboratory services for rapid blood tests (CBC, chemistry panels), urinalysis, and fecal examinations. Imaging services like X-rays (radiography) are common for evaluating bones, organs, and identifying foreign bodies.Soft Tissue Surgery: As highlighted by client testimonials, the hospital performs surgical procedures, ranging from routine operations like spaying/neutering to more urgent interventions such as wound cleaning and mass removals (e.g., a "huge bump under her eye, which had an infection"). Patient safety, anesthesia monitoring, and pain management are crucial components of surgical care.Emergency and Urgent Care (during business hours): The clinic's ability to take patients "same day" and perform "small surgery... same time we came to the visit" indicates a strong capacity for urgent care, bridging the gap between routine appointments and 24/7 critical care facilities for non-life-threatening but pressing issues.Internal Medicine: Diagnosis and management of various non-surgical conditions affecting internal organs and body systems, such as gastrointestinal disorders, skin infections, and other systemic illnesses.Medication and Prescriptions: Providing necessary medications, including antibiotics and pain relievers, for various conditions and post-operative recovery.Dental Care: While not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews, comprehensive veterinary clinics generally offer professional dental cleanings and oral health assessments to prevent and treat periodontal disease.Pain Management: Ensuring pets are comfortable before, during, and after procedures or due to chronic conditions, through appropriate pain relief protocols.

Cheltenham Animal Hospital Reviews
I can’t thank this veterinary clinic enough for helping my cat recover! Dr. Oleg was incredibly kind, professional, and attentive. He took the time to thoroughly explain the treatment process, which put me at ease. My cat received excellent care, and I could tell she was in the best hands. Thanks to their expertise, she is now healthy and happy again. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for compassionate and skilled care for their pets!
Oct 17, 2024 · Darya ZhyDr.Oleg is very knowledgeable and professional. Most important he was the one who actually helped! He took as same day as we contacted him. He performed small surgery on my dog same time we came to the visit! I went to another clinic the day before, all they did they took blood test and gave us antibiotics and pain killer and told me they would contact me to see if they will be able to perform that same surgery, but probably later in a week. But no one called next day and my dog really needed an attention. She had a huge bump under her eye, which had an infection and needed to be cleaned and taken care off. Thank you Dr Oleg. My dog is sleep and sound now and I’m happy you took care of us so quick!
Oct 18, 2023 · Rita TimoshinaDr. Oleg was amazing. My kitty went in because he was peeing blood (he has a UTI). He gave us his meds, recommended a supplement to help prevent this from happening again and gave us a sample of a urinary health support food. He seemed to actually care about my cat unlike our typical vet. I feel he was very reasonably priced considering his issues. Thinking about switching our dogs to this vet as well.
Jul 10, 2021 · Alyssa DoerrI called this so-called hospital to inquire about their services and pricing for my 5 month old kitten who already has up-to-date shots and needed to have a simple surgical procedure done. The vet answered the phone with a very nasty and unprofessional attitude. I asked him about his prices, he told me what his prices were (which in my opinion are outrageously high), and stated that his prices are FIXED ( Why he felt the need to add that statement when I never questioned his prices is beyond me, so why the attitude???) He asked me why am I looking for another veterinarian to treat my cat. I told him that my vet happens to be booked for the next 2 months and he states, "I'm too OLD and I've been in business for many years, my prices are FIXED, and I suggest you go back to your own vet or find another one closer to where you live." I ended the call and if he ever reads this I suggest that if he feels that he is too old then he should retire and leave real caring and quality veterinary care to those vets who actually do care-Absolutely would not recommend this place to anyone. He appears to care more about money than the actual treatment of the animals. First impression is very telling.
Sep 05, 2020 · Elaine Wall-FarTried to get a hold of this place for two days… always rings and goes to voicemail. Left message after message and no avail. Thanks for making this difficult decision even harder.
