Chicago Animal Rehab Introduce
In the dynamic and diverse landscape of pet care in Illinois, some facilities stand out for their specialized focus and dedication to a particular aspect of animal health. For residents in the Chicago Ridge area and beyond, Chicago Animal Rehab represents a unique and invaluable resource. This article is designed to introduce local pet owners to this specialized animal hospital, which focuses on rehabilitation and alternative therapies for pets recovering from injury, managing chronic conditions, or simply facing the challenges of aging.
Chicago Animal Rehab is not a conventional animal hospital that provides routine vaccinations or spaying/neutering services. Instead, it is a specialty veterinary center dedicated to physical rehabilitative therapy. Their mission is to improve the quality of life for pets through a combination of traditional and complementary veterinary methods. This includes everything from post-surgical recovery to geriatric care and pain management. The team at Chicago Animal Rehab operates with a deep understanding of animal anatomy and physiology, providing a targeted and effective approach to healing. Their work has a profound impact on the lives of pets and their families, often helping animals that have lost mobility or are in chronic pain to walk, play, and live more comfortably again.
Finding a specialty veterinary clinic can sometimes be a challenge, but Chicago Animal Rehab is conveniently located to serve the Chicagoland area. The facility is situated at 10051 Kitty Ave, Chicago Ridge, IL 60415, a location that is easily accessible from major roads and a short drive for residents of surrounding suburbs like Oak Lawn, Palos Hills, and Orland Park.
The clinic's commitment to accessibility is evident in its design. It features a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible parking lot, ensuring that all visitors, including those with mobility limitations, can bring their pets in for treatment without difficulty. A wheelchair-accessible restroom is also available for the comfort and convenience of clients. This consideration for all users highlights their professional and welcoming approach, making a visit to the clinic as stress-free as possible.
Chicago Animal Rehab provides a highly specialized range of services centered around physical therapy and alternative treatments. - Compassionate and Caring Staff: The testimonials repeatedly emphasize the kindness and genuine care shown by the staff. One reviewer noted that the staff "truly cared about my little one and helped her with her therapy as much as possible." This personal connection and empathy are invaluable, especially for owners of pets with chronic or painful conditions.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I used to take my little Chihuahua, Zoe, to Chicago Animal Rehab for acupuncture, adjustments, laser therapy, and underwater treadmill therapy. She had pretty bad arthritis and luxating patella. She has since passed away. Chicago Animal Rehab has the kindest and best staff. They truly cared about my little one and helped her with her therapy as much as possible. Zoe loved coming to therapy and hated water, but with all the treats she would get she learned to love it. Thank you so much for all your help with Zoe. I truly recommend Chicago Animal Rehab for any of your physical therapy needs or alternative treatments.
April 12 · Vanessa LiptackGreat facility and staff. My dog was completely disabled and Dr. Whalen and staff got him walking within a few months with no surgery!
August 14 · Allen KarpiakAfter my dog Remington's surgery we went to Chicago Animal Rehab and met Mary. She did an amazing job with Remington. Mary was very gentle with him as he was apprehensive of the water tank and treadmill. With Mary’s caring ways Remy was soon enjoying his walks in the water. Then we would do laser therapy with Remy. Keeping his goggles on his eyes was an adventure but worth it. Both therapies were very successful. Remy’s gait is so much better now and his incision has healed so nice.Highly recommend both therapies for dogs after a surgery.
October 29 · Brenda M.Dr. Whalen& staff are wonderful! We also visited Mary for hydrotherapy. Every experience was so wonderful considering the circumstances. Minnie loved going there. She would be so happy when we arrived which makes this a double 5* review. Although I think based on the added treat aspect, Minnie would give it a 10 out of 5 stars. Unfortunately we moved out of state and the staff wouldn't relocate with us! Miss you all!
October 30 · Julie EThe staff is so friendly ! They showed so much love to our dog Duke, and gave us so many tips on what kind of exercises would help out Duke on the long run.
