★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Very pleasant experience with Dr. Wofford. He fit us into his schedule quickly, took time with each of my animals and answered all the questions I had. My nervous and growling pup came out of his check up with his head up and his tail wagging...just like the goofy guy he is with us. We've definitely found our new Vet.
September 09 · Heidi ChannelIt has been 6 mos. since Dr. Trey 1st saw my fur baby, 14 y/o Pebbles. She wasn't eating well, gums swollen, etc. After 1st visit for ck-up with bloodwork, etc. he came back to extract her 8 bad teeth. Dr. Trey said expect her to act like a new doggie. Oh my goodness, past 6 mos. she has been eating well, sleeping well, & so playful. I am so thankful my neighbor referred him to me. I must add instead of my fighting with her to get her in an office while she was having a "nervous breakdown" she was so cute following behind him to his mobile unit on the lease & wagging her little tail! Thank you Dr. Trey, we'll see you for next ck-up💕
September 21 · Carolyn JacksonOur family lives out in the country and we see a lot of animals. We feed stray cats and in doing so, have created outdoor pets. We cannot afford vet care for them except in emergent cases, but we did pay to get the females on our property spayed to prevent future litters. One particular rescue came back recently with his tail almost cut in half and necrosis had set in. We love him and didn't want to see him die, so I called a long list of places, most of which were booked up and one of which named a price far too high for us to afford. I called Dr.Trey and politely explained the situation and asked if he could offer a price estimate for tail amputation. He asked who was the cats veterinarian. When I started to answer him, he cut me off and said "Have I ever seen your cat?" I told him no, the cat didn't have a vet. He responded with "Cats are animals. They can't choose their own doctor. If you are taking care of him, you are responsible for him. So what you are telling me is you have no veterinarian for your cat." I responded with no and he quickly said he was booked up for two weeks, I'd have to call elsewhere. He could have simply told me he wasn't taking on new clients without making it a point to shame me for having a heart for strays.
April 13 · Stephanie CarverI called Dr. Trey Wofford of Palmetto Vet Calls to come to my house to euthanize my 18-year-old cat as her quality of life was gone. He told me originally that he could not fit me into his schedule and recommended Lap of Love who I called but they were not able to do it until at least a week later. Dr. Woodard said to call him back it I was unsuccessful with Lap of Love. I called him back and he was kind enough to fit me in at the end of his day. I really appreciated that. He came with his mobile truck and explained the process in detail. He wanted to take my cat to his mobile unit to do it but I asked and he complied that he do it in my house while I was present. He said it would be two injections the first of which would be a sedative so that she would not feel the second injection that he said would actually stop her heart. He gave her the first injection and her whole body jumped as she reacted. Then he said he would go wait in his truck until the sedative took effect. He left and I petted my cat while I waited but she died just seconds later. When he returned, I said she was gone and he checked and yes, she had died. He never gave her the second injection. I know she felt pain when he gave her the only injection. I was really overcome with grief and paid his bill and he left. When I looked at the bill, he actually charged me for two injections. I called him and questioned him about it and he denied what I saw with my own eyes. What upset me the most is not the bill but that he lied and that my cat had pain when she died. He has good reviews and he might be a great vet that treats your pet at your home but the whole idea of euthanasia is to painlessly help your best friend die peacefully.
July 20 · elm elmDr Trey is the most compassionate, patient Veterinarian we have ever used. He has gone out of his way to help our dogs with an illness or when we had to put one down.
