Mill Pond Veterinary Clinic & Kennel Reviews
Review of boarding: We’re extremely disappointed with the conflicting information and lack of transparency we received regarding our dog’s recent stay. She was being treated for a paw injury and was wearing a cone. Their own veterinary staff recommended she board alone during that reservation to protect the treatment area. During her stay, staff even called to say the wound was improving and that the vet had approved her for brief group play because she had been boarding alone. However, when we called to discuss her upcoming reservation (while the wound is better but not fully healed), we were met with firm resistance. The woman we spoke with insisted our dog would not be permitted to board alone and emphasized that our dog had in fact never been boarded alone—as if that somehow invalidated the vet’s original orders. If solitary boarding is not necessary, we’re open to hearing that—but that decision should come from the vet, not from a staff member rewriting history to suit their argument.Whether our dog was in group boarding the entire previous stay—against the vet’s instructions—or whether she was solo and this staff member is now being dishonest, someone lied. Either scenario is unacceptable. We simply want to follow the treatment plan and do what’s best for our dog. Being misled or gaslit doesn’t build trust—and at this point, that trust is gone. The veterinarian and staff were excellent. I would not use this establishment for boarding at all.

Apr 02, 2025 · Vicki SmithI am in the pet industry myself, and something I've found quite a bit is vets that don't actually listen to what you want to do with you animal because it goes "against the main stream". I've also had much less then positive experiences with other vets in the recent years so I was very hesitant to book an appointment for my 2yo male Aussie. However, from the time the nurse walked into the room until the time we left, I felt heard and taken seriously. Most importantly I didn't feel judged for any of the choices I've made for Jambis care over his short life span. I had an amazing experience with all the staff but especially the doctor. It truly felt like I had a team around my pup that INCLUDED me!I cant say enough good things about this clinic. From the front desk ladies who made sure to get Jambi seen asap after we lost his full brother at only 3yr to lymphoma; to the nurse who listened and talked through everything with me; to the doctor which again, I can not say enough good things about. To say the least they completely surpassed my expectations and have a client for life!Thank you so so much Mill Pond crew!
Aug 01, 2023 · Ocean EyesThe doctor is friendly, calm, and professionaln the staff are kind and great!--my cat didn't even hiss once and she normally does! She felt very comfortable here, so did I, and the prices are very reasonable! Glad I found this place!
Jan 24, 2025 · Christina YesenofskiUsed Mill Pond for the first time to leave for a week vacation. We have a 2 year old mix that would share the same kennel with our 3 year old family dog. They are literally best friends. We provided staff with details about his fearfulness and aggression at times with people but his LOVE to be around other dogs. Offered his muzzle and other techniques by using our family dog to help follow commands. Staff denied.Staff continued to reassure us that they know how to handle all dogs. For a whole week we got no updates unless we called first. Our dog was not allowed to go out and play with any other dog besides our family dog the entire week. The whole point of this kennel was to socialize in the field with all dogs as he loves to play and have fun. Instead he did not get to do that. Very disappointed with the customer service here and the time we looked forward to for our dog was just not how it turned out. I hope they can be more attentive and listen to new customers in the future because they lost our business.
