Cove Mountain Animal Hospital Reviews
Please do not bring your pets here. The doctor has absolutely no regard for your time. Every single time I went I had to wait a MINIMUM of 30 minutes to get into an exam room, and then even longer for the doctor to come in. Before I went there many people in the area told me not to and that the Dr. Schwartz only cares about money and is super over priced, and I didn’t listen and learned for myself. He just seems like the main priority is charging you money. The front staff was always nice but it seemed like I was always running into issues and needing more appointments and to spend more. They told me if Dr. Schwartz were to approve my prescriptions on chewy each month there would be a charge for the doctor having to on on his computer and approve it…… then conveniently let me know there would be no extra charge if I used their online pharmacy. Just overall really bad vibes honestly. But again the front desk staff was always very kind so it wasn’t them at all. Please save yourself time and money and fine another vet. I go to VCA west shore now and the experience is night and day difference
Jun 26, 2025 · Jess AndJames2nd visit and it'll be my last. Brought my dog in for a "consultation" on removing a small growth on his leg that had started bleeding. I had expressed that money was going to be a concern, and would like to discuss any other options that might be affordable for removing it. Fast forward, doctor took his temp and there was blood on the thermometer. We begin discussing what that could be, but there wasn't immediate concern. Next thing I know, they're putting something in my dog's mouth. I brought up to the doctor how I just told him I was having financial concerns and he didn't ask me if he could give my dog any medication, and his response was along the lines of "I'm doing the bare minimum to make sure he's comfortable." They did end up charging me for the medication. We start trying to discuss options for removing the growth again and I politely asked if he knew of any other afforable options. His response was that I would have to call around because he isn't familiar with any other vets pricing (legitimately the first time I haven't been recommended another vet office when requested regardless of knowing pricing). Then the doctor suggested that if I can't afford medical care for my dog, it might be time to consider putting him down. Yes, instead of exploring ANY other options for removing a small, non-life threatening lump on his leg I should put him down. Doctor absolutely comes across as someone in it for the money, no empathy. If you do have to come here, make sure they get your approval before they do anything.
Apr 18, 2025 · Cristian SmithDr. Schwartz is great! The staff is friendly also. We appreciate the care they give our senior dog.Update: sadly, our senior dog passed away at the end of March. 😭 We received a beautiful condolence letter from the vet's office signed by all of the employees. It was very much appreciated. We now take our new puppy to this vet as well.
May 02, 2023 · Stephanie BordnerGreat people, my mom had her dog their to get fixed, and dew claws removed. They took care of him so well. Would 100% recommend.
Apr 03, 2025 · C&C FarmsCove mtn took care of our feline baby 17 years ago and still had us on file when she passed away. They kept us as clients even though our cat was healthy and need not be seen much throuout her long life. Had they not done this we would not even been able to get our new kitten the care he needed as no vets were accepting new pets. Their staff is super friendly and very helpful and thorough. Did everything we requested to ensure our new pet was healthy and were so gentle. I have always been pleased with Cove Mtn and now, even more so. Costs of services are very competitive too and you will get all you pay for from this Vet & more. Glad to recommend them to anyone with pet needs.
