August 11 · Korina GarciaI took my cat in and all the vet did was palpate his stomach for like 10 seconds and go "yep that's a hairball" and prescribe some Laxotone. My cat refused to eat, had shallow and fast breathing, retching, and was lethargic. I got home and was able to get him to eat and take the Laxotone, but he hasn't eaten since and is wincing whenever we pick him up. I just feel like the vet didn't really care and spent less than a minute with my cat and they charged $60 for this "exam". Not to mention I was the first person there before they even opened and I'm pretty sure they helped other people before me while I waited for him to come do this exam?
July 29 · Covert PerspectiveTook my kids 16 year old pup in today thinking we were going to have to put him down. Doc came in and took his time with us. He listened to us and helped us do what’s best for our pup. He gave us more time with him and also ensured that he wouldn’t suffer. He loves these animals. You can tell. I appreciate everyone at Dowagiac Animal Hospital. They have always been so good to our family. If I could give 10 stars, I would. ❤️
January 28 · Shauna SmithDr. Wilson took great care of my dog who had been attacked 3 large dogs. Heather was great with helping us with all the details!!
May 20 · Robin RamerI personally will not be coming back to this vet, I brought my cat in for his ears bothering him and his sneezing, the staff was amazing but the doctor didn’t listen to me one bit. My cat has history of abuse before he was brought into my home and result of that he had a fractured vertebrae and stomach muscle injuries, while this was almost 2 years ago now he still tends to act sore and like his hind end is bothering him after some activities and the vet completely ignored this fact. He was very rough with him, now I understand you have to be firm with cats, ESPECIALLY when they used to be strays but there was now reason he should’ve been so aggressive with him. Also he said he wasn’t concerned about his heavy breathing a sneezing even when I asked again before I left if it could upper respiratory and he said “no I wouldn’t be worried about” well fast forward 4 hours and I’m rushing my cat to the emergency vet bc he barely able to catch his breath and he won’t be even an inch. Turns out he had a 105 fever and a severe upper respiratory infection and needed med administered right away. But again the Dowagic vet “didn’t see the concern”. If I would’ve went with what this vet said my cat very well could’ve died. I understand we all have bad days but NOTHING will justify the way he treated my cat or the unprofessionalism he displayed.
